With the holiday season upon us, Tis’ the season to PROSPECT. PROSPECT. PROSPECT.

3 KEY things to remember when prospecting.

1. PROSPECT WITH A SERVING HEART - meaning ask yourself “what value can I bring to this person?” NOT “What can they do for me?”

2. PROSPECT CONSISTENTLY - connect and follow up with your prospects on a consistent basis. Set a specific day and time each week to follow up with NEW prospects as well as follow up with those you have engaged with or worked with in the past.

3. PROSPECT WITH EVERYONE in the industry - landing opportunities is about WHO you know…so spend time connecting with people holding all positions/titles in the industry not just a specific group of people.

Some days you're just gonna want to lay in bed, but your dreams don't work unless you do.

So GET UP!

"But, how do I find the motivation when I feel defeated and unmotivated to try, try, try again?" you ask.

It's simple.

You remember your WHY.

Your WHY is bigger than your passion.

Your WHY is bigger than your worst days.

Your WHY is bigger than the naysayers, the noise, and the world around you.

WHEN YOU KNOW YOUR WHY YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE!

Your WHY is the driving force that tells you "Get up! You Got This! If you don't do this your life will look the exact same 5 years from now and YOU don't want that!"

So what is your WHY?

Is it...

Freedom in your schedule?

Making the income you want to make?

Traveling around the world?

To have a career that makes you excited to wake up for?

Providing for your family?

Caring for your parents in their old age?

No longer struggling financially?

What is your WHY that will get you up out of bed?

CTA: take out a journal and write your WHY - get connected with it. It's hard to know HOW TO get anywhere if you don't know WHY you're trying to get there.

Have a meeting with yourself every Sunday and "Look back. Look Forward."

Look back at how last week went and then look forward into this week and then you make plan of what went really well last week, what didn't go well, and how can I bring the knowledge that I have from last week and bring it into this week to be the best I possibly can?

And then do the P. Diddy:
Start. Stop. Continue.

To do this, after you Look Back & Look Forward ask yourself...
1. What should I start doing?
2. What should I stop doing?
3. What should I continue doing?
..that will keep me on the path to success?

𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏 𝟒 - You Need An ACCOUNTABILITY System

If you have a habit of breaking your commitments to yourself and your goals - put an accountability system into place.

This could be a friend, a fellow member in this group (COMMENT BELOW if you want to connect with an accountability buddy in the FLY MORE Community). Share your goals with your buddy then set the rules.

EXAMPLE: I am going to go to the gym 4x a week OR I am going to connect with 50 NEW people in my industry via LinkedIN every week. I will send you a picture of me in the gym 4x a week OR I will send you a picture of the list of the 50 people I connected with this week and IF I don't then I owe you $500 (choose a $$ amount that hurts - an amount that will motivate you to create the action you want to create in your life that gets you closer to your goals).

6 KEYS TO SUCCESS

𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏 𝟑 - Plan out your PITFALLS

We all have them. The things we do that knock us off our road to success.

Maybe you sleep in, you're prospecting efforts aren't consistent, you have negative self-talk, etc.

Whatever it is that you recognize knocks you off course, make a plan for how you're going to get yourself back on course when it happens.

For example if you have a habit of negative self-talk create a "Awesome" list and write 100 things that is awesome about you that you can refer back to in those moments of self-talk. The items on your awesome list can be big, small, recent or from when you were a wee little thing, but write it down NOW so that you can refer to it in those moments when you are beating yourself up.

Show of hands if you're guilty of negative self-talk. (I can't see you, BUT your hand should be up, because I know this is something we all struggle with from time to time).

So write down your plan of action when you hit your pitfalls AND write an "Awesome" List of 100 things that make you awesome, take a picture of it, and save it in your favorites to refer back to.
EXTRA CREDIT: once you have a list of 100 things that make you awesome, record yourself reading your list. There is power in hearing your own voice tell you how awesome YOU are and ultimately YOUR opinion of yourself is the ONLY one that matters...well and God also...but He already thinks YOU'RE AWESOME! 😃

3 Tips for NBAA - Las Vegas.

3 TIPS for those attending the NBAA-BACE this week in Las Vegas (and other industry events).

1. RESEARCH the companies/people you want to meet with at the event. Determine how many people/companies per day you want to meet.

2. DISCOVER where their booths are located using the NBAA app and organize your days to be spent one day at the static display and other day at the conference hall so you’re not bouncing around amd wasting time traveling between the two venues.

3. CONNECT - Leave time to connect authentically with them with no other purpose than to learn about them amd discover ways you can help them with their success.

BONUS TIP: this is about meeting people with the same interests as you, so have fun connecting knowing you share a common interest.

It can be deceiving sometimes...

At first glance - this job is all glitz and glamour! It’s always fun
to show the dreamy part of the job because, lets be real - it really
can be!

But that’s not ALL it is!

is more than that.

It’s safety and responsibility. It’s catering to our guests. It’s
being organized to a fault and leaving every space better than what it
was before you got there!

But with that, you CAN let yourself enjoy the wild ride of going coast
to coast and across the world and back.

Don’t get so wrapped up in the moment that you forget to appreciate
where you are and what you do! Life is about balance right?

Let yourself live that !

What does time freedom mean to you? It means different things for
different people...

For some, it means being your own boss and making your own schedule,
while to others, it means having a remote office, multiple businesses,
and time for things that bring you joy.

I tend to agree with all of those!

To me, time freedom is personal. We all have our own “whys” that are
our driving force behind what we do and make time for. One thing we
always tell our students and SkyAngel community is how important it is
to be grounded in your own personal “why.”

Do you want to travel more outside of work?
Do you want to be financially independent? Pay off debt?
Do you want to have a family? Children? Take care of yourself?

Whatever your “why” is will inevitably give you that time freedom to
do all of the above and then some.

And that’s the beauty of this job right? You have options! To choose a
meaningful life for yourself.

That was a major reason why I started my business in the first place,
and it remains something that I value to this day.

Want to know something that sounds a bit ridiculous?

When I started this business, I used to feel completely unprepared and
undertrained. It cost me so much extra time, money I didn’t have, and
some blows to my ego and confidence.. but I just didn’t know a better
way to do it.

When I started SkyAngels, I discovered that there was a better way.

A better way to train those in luxury hospitality, to cultivate a
camaraderie in the industry and create a network on those in these
professions. When I got into this industry to learn, I felt as if I
was on my own with no one to turn to. I couldn’t fathom this for
anyone else.

I started absorbing it all, asking questions, and took a chance on
myself, and started seeing myself as an entrepreneur with the
confidence to help others so they don’t have to go through some of the
struggles that I did.

I don’t regret the bad days, the major struggles and setbacks, though.
It’s part of the story that got me to where I am today.

But now I know better… so I do better. There’s always room to grow!
