Oakland BBG #2

Oakland BBG #2 We have weekly events with different activities that are free to you and let you meet other people to have cool connections with.

BBYO is an international Jewish teen-lead movement that brings 8th-12th grade teens together to lead events, make friends and have meaningful Jewish experiences. We have a region called Central Region West that covers the Bay Area and it consists of many chapters including the girls chapter for the Oakland, Berkeley, Piedmont and other areas: Oakland B'nai Brith Girls. Our meetings our held weekly in the Baum Center at Temple Beth Abraham. The meetings take place from 7-9 every Wednesday.

Hello fabulous people! My name is Lena and I’m going to be a Sophomore in four days. This summer has been super fun! By far My favorite part of it was CLTC 7. CLTC was a bbyo summer program in Mukwanago Wisconsin. It was a very summer camp experience where we bonded quickly with those around us, learned valuable leadership skills and made friends to last a lifetime. I had an irreplaceable experience and I highly recommend others to go on bbyo summer programs. They change you for the better. This summer I also spent six weeks working at a day camp called camp 510. It is an art camp where the campers do beyond cool activities like welding and painting and making a river and sewing and tons more. I had a great time working with all the adorable kids and plan to do it next summer as well. I am sad the summer is coming to a close because it has been one of the best summers of my life. And I hope yours has been too!!

Hi my name is Sarah and my summer has been pretty fun so far. I am volunteering at my local Rec Center as a counselor which has been a great experience. One highlight was my trip to Italy. Hi my name is Shira Benau and I am going to be a junior this year. This summer I participated in a BBYO summer program called Kallah. Kallah took place in Pennsylvania at B'nai Brith Perlman Camp. At Kallah I took part in many classes discussing my Judaism while I also had an amazing time with friends all across the world. Hi my name is Sydney and I am the summer term mazkirah! Starting this week, there will be a weekly journal entry written by a member of Oakland BBG sharing a bit about what they've been up to this summer!
Last week I went to Disneyland with my girl scout troop! It was super fun and we have been saving for it since we were in kindergarten. We got to go to Disney and California Adventures and saw the 4th of July fireworks!
