We are excited to announce our 2025 Kansas Day Program- Dust Bowl Days! We are extending our program over two days this year, January 29th and January 30th. We are partnering with Fick Fossil and History Museum and Oakley Public Library this year, so our schedules align to make this an amazing day learning all about Kansas!

At the Buffalo Bill Cultural Center, the students will go on a scavenger hunt to learn about the cause and effects the dust bowl had on farmers as well as daily living. We will have a simulator room where the students will get to experience the dust bowl in action (minus the actual dust). The Goodland Weather Service will also be here teaching students about the weather patterns that lead up to a dust storms!

Thank you to US National Weather Service Goodland Kansas, Logan County Conservation District , Fossil and History Museum , and Oakley Public Library for partnering with us this year to make our program amazing!

Thank you to everyone who has reached out about the situation we are currently in. We have a great crew from service master rapid response team that is helping us dry out. As you can tell it’s a little loud so if you try to call and we don’t answer please send us a message. We are still unsure about when we will be able to reopen but we promise to keep you all in the loop.

It's back, and bigger than ever! This Trick or Treat bowl filled with sweets and other treats can be yours. The trick - guess how many treats (sweet and not so sweet) are in the bowl. Turn your guess in at the fall festival October 7th between 10 am and 2 pm. Winner will be announced at 2:30 pm.

Well today Richard Kvasnicka joined the coffee guys with a fly over courtesy of John Holztmeister. Judith arranged the flight that Dick never got to take. Happy Trails Dick. We all miss you.
