ALLEN PARISH – STEP INTO CAJUN COUNTRY! In the big scheme of things, Allen Parish is kinda small, but there are a lot of things that will keep you smiling and happy for a great day get-a-way! Do you like to canoe? Or hunt? Or golf? Allen Parish is in Cajun Country and is home to some of the best outdoor recreation you will find in southwest Louisiana. Outfitters are ready to set you up for a day of canoeing, tubing, or kayaking on the Ouiska Chitto Creek. This creek is spring fed and is a Louisiana Scenic Waterway. The water is cool and refreshing and the white sandy beaches call out to you. This canoe trip will have you relaxing to the max! The Dry Creek Ranch is a guaranteed hunt. There are guides and dogs ready to make your trip a successful one. Stay overnight in the lodge and eat some of the best wild game you will ever have. The Koasati Pines is a dynamic 18-holes, par 72 championship layout. It has six sets of tees, and multiple approaches on four holes, plus a unique “gambling hole.” This is the perfect golfer’s paradise. There is a full-service golf shop and a 9,000 square foot clubhouse with bar and grill, locker room, and meeting space.
