One of the best parts of taking a Disney Cruise is exploring and enjoying their islands! Disneys Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point was an absolute delight. Clear blue waters, gorgeous beaches, adorable character interactions, and some good food were the highlights of the day. You may also have the opportunity visit Castaway Cay, Disney’s first private island. It’s a tropical paradise just steps from your ship!

Pirate Night is a Disney Cruise Line tradition. The characters don their best pirate costumes, there are themed dining experiences and of course there is a fun pirate-themed show on deck ending in fireworks at sea. Who else could do this kind of magic but Disney? 🏴‍☠️🎆🛳️

A themed Disney Cruise Line sailing is a great way to celebrate the holidays- spooky or otherwise! 👻 🎃 🎄 🍬

You can celebrate Halloween on the High Seas or experience a Very Merrytime cruise in style! There are special activities, decorations, and character interactions throughout your sailing! Maybe you’ve done Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party, Ooogie Boogie Bash or Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party before and want to try something new.

I got to experience a Halloween on the High Seas cruise this year and it was a ton of fun! I can’t wait to experience one for the holidays! I’m booking mine for 2025 NOW! How about you?

Disney Cruise Line is where magic meets the sea! If you have visited the Disney resorts and love the service, the entertainment and the overall magic of Disney, I suggest you give a Disney cruise a try! It’s like the best of the resorts, food and entertainment plus a tropical or other global destination in one. The ships are absolutely beautiful and have some of the largest cabins on the sea which are specially built for families. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I experienced it myself!

Disney is known for excelling at storytelling and Adventures by Disney brings that storytelling to your travel adventure.

Each day has a theme from start to finish and one of our favorite parts of the day was getting a pin to commemorate the adventure! I have never been much of a pin collector but I treasure these! We never knew who would be giving us the pin or when or where. So fun and such a great souvenir!

If I was on a Disney cruise today, here’s how I’d spend my day:

🥞 🥓 🍳 Breakfast at Cabanas
☀️ 🎥 Get some sun and watch a movie on funnel vision (I’d love it to be Little Mermaid)
🍦 Be jealous of everyone eating the day’s special soft serve flavor as a mid-morning snack
🥙 Lunch at Cabanas, definitely with some chicken fingers
💤 Nap on the deck in the shade
🦎 🚿 Lizard-time and lovely aromatherapy time in the showers and saunas in the Rainforest Room
🍸 Cocktails before the evening show
📸 Character photo time!
🍽️ A Delicious dinner and show at Rapunzel’s Royal Table
🍸 More cocktails, maybe this time with trivia or live music
🛌 A good night’s sleep in the comfy cabin

Pirate Night is a Disney Cruise Line tradition! Everyone dons their pirate best (including the characters and cast and crew!) and there’s a special menu at dinner and an amazing show on deck that ends with fireworks! You have to experience it for yourself!

We did it!!! Our first Disney Cruise Line vacation is officially over. Here are my thoughts and why YOU should consider a Disney Cruise!

🚢 It’s like the best of Disney resorts, dining, service and entertainment without the rides and plus amazing ports of call. The new Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point was so incredibly beautiful and we never wanted to leave.

😎 Relax while you enjoy all the ship has to offer. Minimal pre-planning needed! The navigator app helps you plan your day on the go!

📋 There is just sooooo much to do, you can’t do it all. That means there’s something for everyone of every age. Families of all ages and sizes and adults-only enjoyment as well!

💖 Service, service, service. We were taken care of every moment of the day and met the most amazing cast and crew members. It felt so genuinely friendly and happy all the time!

The cabin was bigger than I expected and the split bathroom made it so easy for us to get ready!

I enjoyed it so much I put a placeholder for another cruise while on board and will save 10%!

Day 4 (I think, what day is it????) Adventures by Disney Alaska Adventure. Rafting on the Nanana River, a trip in to Glitter Gulch for a quick shopping trip and a pizza party, then an optional ATV tour outside of Denali at the recommendation of our guides. Oh, and a glass of wine to end the day on the hotel porch (56 degrees, baby!). I always recommend my clients upgrade to a water view room at a Magic Kingdom-area resort if the cost isn’t much more (it usually isn’t!) because that means there are likely fireworks view rooms in your building. If so, you head outside during fireworks time in your jammies or with a drink from the pool bar and capture views like this! (I went with some sparkling wine from the pool bar at the Floridian vs the jammies this time.) #disneytravelplanner #disneyworld #grandfloridian
