STORM PREPARATION TIPS:
Due to the increased risk of flooding with Tropical Storm Debby please begin taking these precautionary measures IMMEDIATELY:
REMOVE all items beneath your home that could be susceptible to flooding including vehicles, golf carts, furniture, chemicals, grills, etc.
UNPLUG any items beneath your home to prevent fire hazards.
SECURE any items that could be susceptible to wind and become a projectile...including polycarts.
NOTE – The regularly scheduled “trash-only” pickup will occur on Tuesday 8-6-24. The Town’s “polycart retrieval” contractor will pull ALL polycarts (including any curbside recycling carts) back to residences after trash pickup is completed. Please wait to secure your carts until after pickup is completed.
MOVE your vehicles to higher ground, preferably off-island.
However, if you need your vehicle to remain on-island, you may use Town Center Park and the Old Town Hall parking lots (including the grassy lot). These locations are available on a first come – first served basis. The Town is not responsible for any vehicles parked on Town Property. Park at your own risk. Please do not use the Museum’s parking spaces without permission.
(Edit - The Isles will not be available for parking as originally posted)
