Grays Harbor PUD is saying they are looking at multiple outages in north county.
PUD crews are dealing with multiple outages throughout Grays Harbor. The largest outage is in the North Beach area of Bernard Creek, serving the Ocean Beach Road. Crews are also aware of scattered outages in Grayland, Aberdeen, Montesano, and Dekay Road. More information will be provided when crews find the cause and size of the outages

We are seeing some pretty strong winds this morning, with some trees down on the roadways and power outages. I am told that this storm moved inland this morning around 445 AM ish from co-workers who were up overnight. Currently, we are seeing wind gusts across the county at 50 mph and above. Make sure to leave a little extra time for your commute, it is nasty out there.

Grays Harbor County Emergency Alert:

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a High Wind Warning in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1PM Thursday.

South winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected late tonight. Winds becoming west 25 to 40 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph Thursday morning.

Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.

A round of significant coastal flooding is expected for portions of the area, most notably the Pacific Coast. Never turn your back on the ocean with large waves that can crash over jetties and run up along beaches. Inundated roads may make them impassable.
