Historical 1929 Mayan Home

Historical 1929 Mayan Home An eclectic, unique, special home He led an expedition into the Yucatan at the time Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic; both opened new worlds. It is fun and simple.

This special Mayan home was designed by the flamboyant, Robert Stacy-Judd, who created sensational architecture in the 1920's and 30's. My home is featured in many books and I hope you will be fascinated with it as well. It is located on a corner lot, directly across from a lagoon, where you can go and be entertained while you feed the ducks and geese. I truly work hard at making your stay and roo

m comfortable and clean by paying attention to special details for you. Nearly everything in my home has been obtained from many different places and refurbished to extend and give them a second life, as well as save on world waste. The first bedroom is attached but separate from the Main House. Its THE BUTTERFLY UNIT. It has a king canopy bed with ceiling mirrors. I also have an extra single mattress in the closet for a toddler or young child. There is a wicker furniture sitting area with Tiffany designed lamps, a 47 inch LCD TV with Direct TV. You also have wifi access. There is an electric small fireplace that can add heat to the room if needed. A seperate kitchen, which is decorated in happy bright colors, has an apartment size stove/oven, a sink, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee pot. The kitchen is supplied with all that you would need. Oopsy....If by chance I forgot to put something there, please let me know and I will be happy to try and get it for you. You have access to your own tub/shower. This unit has a front separate entrance off of Pier Ave and on premise parking in the driveway. The second room that is available is a bit more wild.....as I like to say since it is decorated in a jungle style. Realistic elephant and giraffe paintings are professionally done on 2 different walls. This JUNGLE ROOM is located in THE MAIN HOUSE. It has a flotation king bed and a single roll out love seat. Wifi is also available. You are welcome to use the common area back porch which has a propane built in BBQ, a gas stove top, a mini sink and a full refrigerator. You have your own tub/shower bathroom. Decorated with loud colors. The toilet has a bidet seat with remote controls. This room is accessed through the Main House stained glass door. FREE parking is on the streets on Pier Ave or Norswing Ave. The other MAIN HOUSE option is THE ARTISTIC UPBEAT ROOM which has a bright, youthful and crazy paint design. You can choose to have either two single beds or these can also be adjusted into a single larger bed since they have rollers. They also have individual controllers that can raise your head and feet, as well as massage and vibrate. If you need to sleep 3 people, please send with a request and I will have an air mattress in the room with a pillow, sheets and blanket. There is a flat screen TV in the hutch with 600 wifi channel downloads. You also have your private bathroom with a shower. This room is closest to the street. Free parking is also on the streets of Pier or Norswing. Your access is through the main house stained glass door entrance off of Pier Ave. With both the Jungle and Artistic Rooms you can welcome to use the living room which has a large leather sectional by the fire place, a dry bar, pool table, karaoke with a variety of music, books and games. In the foyer there is an exercise treadmill, guitar, and a piano if you would like to play. Or you can take the telescope out by the round door and see the stars and planets. I ask that you please be respectful to other guests, and are aware of the noise factor during the night time hours, and return everything to its proper place for the future guests. Thank you!!! Your third option is a "2006" TASTEFULLY decorated RV CAMPER. It has a couch and dinette slide out, giving you more room to roam. You have a seperate bedroom with a double bed and an RV size tub shower. You have a full kitchen with all kitchen accessories. So if you want to cook or bake, you have all the necessary amenities at hand. And if you prefer to grill, you are welcome to use the common area porch with the BBQ. You have your own seperate gate entrance and private small yard which allows you to bring your animals to stay in your yard area. Street parking closest to the entrance would be off of Norswing. The RV sits on the back side of my Mayan Home. Feels like you are camping in luxury! Send me a message for availability since I do advertise on another web page. And if you have a preference please specify Butterfly, Jungle, Artistic or RV. Coming soon is a 15' diameter Tipi....so excited!! My 1929 Mayan home is a few blocks away from one of the only two beach entrance's. The only beach in California that you are allowed to drive your car onto. It is relaxing in the evening, as well as romantic to light a bon fire and sit back and listen to the spectacular ocean waves. You may request to use the entrance pass, as well as a few comfy papasian chairs that you can take down to the beach with you. I suggest that you use the pass since this will save you about 6 dollars each day you enter the beach. The home is also located very close to the Oceano Dunes and just a few miles from the Pismo Pier area. Down the street you can rent ATV's or a Hummer ride and leave the driving to them. Across the street is a local public bus stop for area transportation. Just a short walk from my home is the Rock n Roll Diner, which allows you to dine in a train car. There is also Beach Burger and Old Juan's Cantina, which has a reasonable champagne brunch. Points of interest: Oceano Beach, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Avila Beach....and ummm the N**E Beach....as well as being centrally located between San Francisco and Los Angeles. There also is the famous Hearst Castle, San Luis Obispo (aka the happiest place in America), SL Port Harbor, The Arroya Grande Village, Lopez Lake, wonderful wineries, farmers markets, The Oceano Melodrama, horseback riding, wind surfing, skydiving, surfing, kayaking, biking, hiking...not to mention TONS OF BEAUTY. Visit The Five Cities and be amazed. You can have the nightlife or choose a total solitude retreat and just chill. I am very happy to help out with any information or plans to where you may want to go. I will end with a thank you...I THANK YOU for taking the time to read about my Historic Mayan Home and I THANK YOU for considering me to be your host. An interesting aspect of the Mayan language and the way to say "Thank you" literally means "God Pays"

ENJOY wherever your travel and stays may take you!!! Guest Access
Mi Casa Es Su Casa.....I like my guests to feel welcome and a part of it so they have access to it as if it was their own. I will say though that I am a stickler on leaving things exactly the way it was and leaving it cleaned for the next guest to use. As well as since we are on sand wiping things up right away is very important because of the sugar ants....If anything is missing or broken I appreciate being informed. Interaction with Guests
I try and let my guests have their privacy, its their time, its their vacation, its their home here. I am respectful and ask for the same. I am also always willing to engage as much as they would like. I have had all different kinds of guest. Those that are quiet and like alone time and those that I have enjoyed a cup of java or tea with. That's the beauty of hosting, diversification and I LOVE it!! The Neighborhood
OCEAN OCEAN OCEAN....so very close. Either walk a few blocks or take your car and park for free. So nice to watch the mesmerizing waves and the sunsets. Less people during the week and during the off season. But the nice plus is its always beautiful!! I never take it for granted even though I see it almost every day. Getting around
Public Transportation right across the way. Other Things to Note
There is a Mexican Restaurant, Burger Hut, and a variety food Rock n Roll Diner all close by and within walking
