Looking for a new home for your travel player? Tired of hearing “not travel ready” or “sorry we already have teams made? Oceanside United Soccer Club believes all children deserve a chance to develop and play regardless of their current ability level… we have assessments, not tryouts, and will make as many teams as registrations allow, tiered in a way so that everybody participates in league games, with teams from same age group placed in various divisions at skill levels which they can each compete in. Feel free to join us and watch your child’s love of the game grow together with their skills. U9-11 train as an age group two nights a week, play Friday night intrasquad matches with trainers on the field, teaching tactics and technical skills in real time and enabling all players to participate in the Long Island Junior Soccer League on Saturdays. U12 focuses on building from the u11 year and getting ready for full sided/full field at u13. 

Our u 13 and up travel teams also have space for anyone interested in participating, subject to a practice with the team.

Girls 2009/10 Super Y Summer League Team - Oceanside United Soccer Club (OUSC) is seeking some players to participate on our Girls 2009/10 birth year Super Y team. Schedule runs early June into early August, consists of 8 weeks of twice per week professional training, plus 8-10 league games - games are usually on weekends or, if a Long Island opponent, potentially on a weeknight. Division winner and runner up advance to Super Y National Finals in December in Tampa. Players need to be available for most, but not all, events. REMINDER: OUSC SUPER Y TRYOUTS THIS WEEKEND & NEXT- SAT 12/2/23 & 12/9/23 - boys/girls teams in all ages u10-19! Tryouts for all ages are Saturday, December 2nd and Saturday December 9th; times both days are 10 am- 12 noon for boys, 1230 pm to 230 pm for girls) on the turf field at Oceanside Park. There is no cost for tryouts, but to attend you must first register by sending an e mail with your childs name and birth year and home club to [email protected] by November 30th. Program Details below:

Super Y season starts in mid June and will consist of 6-8 matches conducted between mid June and early August. Most matches are on Saturday, although local matches (on Long Island) may be held on weeknights. Away games are in New Jersey, elsewhere in NY or Connecticut - half the schedule is home games, which are played on our Oceanside Park turf.

In addition the program will include 16 training sessions, each lasting 90 minutes, starting in May. The first four of those sessions will likely be on Friday evenings or on the off day of the weekend for each age group, to allow players from other programs/teams to participate without missing their teams workout. The June-August sessions will likely be on Tuesday or Wednesday evening at Oceanside Park.

All teams will be trained/coached by our professional training staff, and the per player cost (Including required OUSC Super Y uniform) is $650. Teams will be selected following a number of rounds of tryouts, and will be comprised of players from throughout Long Island, not just from OUSC. 9 v 9 teams will be capped at 15 players, 11 v 11 teams at 18 players.

As detailed above, there is no cost for tryouts, but to attend you must first register by sending an e mail with your childs name and birth year and home club to [email protected] by November 30th.

Each year Oceanside United soccer club gives out scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors. Over the years, OUSC has given out over $400,000 in scholarship money. This money is from the proceeds of our annual indoor and outdoor tournaments. Congratulations to all the scholarship recipients.

For the first time in several years, OUSC is marching in Monday's Memorial Day Parade, and we want ALL of our OUSC players and families to march with us as we recognize Memorial Day and those it honors. All players must be accompanied by at least one adult and every player is encouraged to wear their OUSC jersey. Meet us on the Schoohouse Green at 9:20 a.m.!

Good afternoon. With the LIJSL season starting this weekend, there are new rules and procedures in place, please see below and have a great season:

1) Parents and spectators of a team sit on the same sideline as their team, with opponent and their fans on the other sideline - at Oceanside Park, OUSC teams sit in the bleachers near the bbq area of the park, parents are on that side as well, opponent gets the side near the pool; exception for U11 and U12 follows in next sentence:

2) For U11 and U12 games at Oceanside Park ONLY, both teams are on the sideline on the turf, parents and spectators are on the grass outside the sideline directly opposite their team

3) There is a complete zero tolerance policy by the league - even something as innocuous as "come on ref" may get both the parent and coach red carded/expelled - there are to be no comments toward the referees for any reason; similarly, only cheering will be allowed, a comment such as "hit him back", "push her back", "take them out" etc. will also lead to expulsion and red card

4) The Club will not pay any red card fines resulting from parent/coach behavior; individual parents and coaches are responsible for the fine and will not be allowed at further OUSC activities until paid; further, the child of any parent receiving a red card may be deemed ineligible to play the following week's game

5) Parents/Spectators are not to interact with their children or the coach during the game - just because you are on the same sideline instead of across the field, the same rules apply

6) The use of parent line judges has returned, so in u9-12 games, where there is a single ref, you may be asked to work the line/advise when the ball goes out - if asked, please remember you are now a game official, and cannot be cheering, giving direction or have any other verbal/physical interaction with the players

7) All OUSC teams should have their orange and blue jerseys with them at all times (U9 wears blue/white reversible so that does not apply to them)

8) There are no COVID protocols - masks are not required, although anyone is free to wear one, pregame coin toss and check in has returned, as has postgame handshake/fist bump
