Alaska land and sea on August 4, 2023. This is a 12-Night Alaska land and sea tour. The Celebrity Millennium sails out of Vancouver, goes through the inside passage, stops in Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Skagway, does a 360 degree spin in front of the Hubbard Glacier and then ends in Seward. We will then start the land tour and go through the Kenai Fjords National Park on a sightseeing glacier whale watching boat excursion and end our day in the Seward Wind Song Lodge. The next day we will take a coach bus, our group has 2 coach buses just to ourselves, to Anchorage and stop at the Native Heritage Center. There we are able to tour villages and see how the native people lived, as well as attend information talks about their customs and everyday lives. That night we will stay at the Anchorage Marriott. The next day we will take the coach buses to the Denali Park and get on the parks tour buses and drive through the wilderness to see wildlife such as moose, bears, etc. That night we will stay in the Denali Park Village Lodge. The next day we will take the Denali Train to Fairbanks. We will have our own observation car for our group only. We will be staying at the Pikes Waterfront Lodge. The next day we will do a Riverboat Discovery Tour which is a paddle boat that takes us up the Chino River. Along the way we will witness a float plane demonstration and the pilot will talk to us from his plane about the importance float planes play in the Alaska wilderness. We then go up the river and watch a dog sled demonstration, see puppies and the guides will be talking to us from the shore. Then It is on to an Alaskan Native Village where we will get off the paddle boat and walk through the village and see the different buildings that they have in their villages. After the paddle boat we are free to go on our own excursions. We have an Alaskan Salmon bake you can sign up for that includes a city tour. We will then stay overnight at the same lodge, Pikes Waterfront Lodge. The next day we have an excursion that you can sign up for to Running Reindeer Ranch where you can pet the reindeer and walk through the woods with them. Very exciting. That night some people will be flying home. If you choose to stay an extra night, then we have the second group going to Running Reindeer Ranch or you can rent a car and go to the North Pole, See the Alaskan Pipeline, or do a whole list of excursions like panning for gold, etc.

The price is $3697.19 pp. (That's a savings of $1849 per person). That includes the cruise and the guided land tour. The cruise portion also includes the free unlimited alcohol drink package, free WiFi, free Gratuities and all your food and entertainment.

A pub that let people buy beers for Betty White will now donate the money to charity

Every small town should have a dream. And in Mineral Point, Wis., the long-running dream was that some day, Betty White would come back for a visit.

The local brewpub was ready. On its chalkboard that tracks beers people buy in advance for buddies who might pop in, White's name has long been the most popular on the list.

In 2019, she had more than 40 beers waiting for her at the Commerce Street Brewery, just in case she stopped by.

The idea might sound outlandish, but White had been to Mineral Point before. It's where Allen Ludden, her third (and last) husband, was originally from. When Ludden, who hosted the TV game show Password, died in 1981, White attended his funeral in Mineral Point.

"We around town have always thought of Betty as a Pointer by marriage," said Mike Zupke, proprietor of the brewpub and inn.

The Golden Girl had a golden ale named for her at the pub in Mineral Point, Wis. Now the brewery is using its "buy a beer for a friend" system to support animal charities in White's honor.
