We are hiring captains!

CAPTAIN FOR SCENIC TOUR BOAT CRUISES LEAVING FROM PERKINS COVE, OGUNQUIT MAINE. Finestkind Scenic Cruises operates three traditional, Maine built wooden vessels which adhere not only to the strict safety standards of the U.S. Coast Guard, but to our own high standards as well. They all feature diesel engines, modern navigational and lifesaving equipment and comfortable passenger seating; under cover or in the fresh Maine air. Each vessel is tested for stability and passes a rigid inspection every season. CAPTAIN MUST HAVE AT LEAST A 25 TON MASTERS LICENSE. SEASONAL HOURS MAY-OCTOBER MINIMUM 16 HOURS/WEEK. COMPETITIVE PAY WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF TIPS, EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITIONS. FAMILY RUN BUSINESS SINCE 1956!

Update: marine conditions are not looking great for ocean delivery of vessels this week from Harpswell. We are still hoping to run trips on Saturday but will depend entirely on safely delivering the boats to Perkins Cove. More to come as soon as we know anything! 🤞🏻

Good Friday morning! Just a reminder that it is still very busy here in Ogunquit which means traffic and parking challenges. We urge everyone to leave more time than they think could possibly need to make it to the dock on time. Our schedule does not allow us to wait for long periods of time for late arrivals. We think the best plan is to come early and enjoy before and after your trip, leaving you stress free!

Last but not least in our siblings series: Kai and Max Rosenberg 😃. Both of these guys are full time students; Kai is going into sophomore year at Boston College and Max will be a senior at Wells High School. This is the first year for the brothers and we look forward to many more successful seasons. Fun fact: their father Matt is !

Our next set of siblings is Nolan and Jonah Potter from Wells, Maine. Nolan is a recent graduate from Bates college in Lewiston and is currently pursuing his Masters in Education, and Jonah is heading back to WPI for his sophomore year in engineering. Both also are college athletes, giving themselves an extra challenge. These two are hard workers with a great attitude as you can probably tell from their photo! They’ve added a lot to FKSC over the last few years, and we appreciate their contribution. Fun fact about these two: they’ve got a younger brother and we’re trying to convince him to work for us too!

Good afternoon! Did you know we have three sets of siblings working with us currently? This is likely a first in FKSC history! Our first set of siblings are Mairéad and Derek Murphy from just up the road in York. Mairéad has just graduated from Illinois Tech in Chicago with a mechanical engineering degree and is starting a Masters degree at TU Delft in Product Design in the Netherlands. Derek is also a recent graduate and has been continuing his intensive language studies overseas until just this past Spring. Derek will be staying stateside this year however and when he’s finished at FKSC he’ll be putting those language skills to good use and trading in coastal maine for Big City Living. We’ve loved having The Murphys on board and wish them all the best for their upcoming adventures! (Fun fact: their mom was a crew member at FKSC too!).

We have a STRICT cancelation policy. We are turning people away because trips are fully booked. We will not offer a refund, rebook or credit of ANY KIND if you cancel your trip within the 24 hours before your trip. Make sure you know which trip you are booking and double check your dates. Our staff works very hard to keep things running smoothly here and make folks happy, but there are some things we cannot do.

We are opening up fireworks tickets this morning and will have 40 seats available. Tickets are $55 all ages, FKI and FKII will be taking passengers out with limited bar service and no restroom facility on board.
