The weather was perfect, the food and accommodations top notch, the birds were plentiful and flew fast, and the company could not be beat! Here at Oldfield Outfitters, Thanksgiving week is all about bringing families together through outdoor adventure. Whether it’s family pond fishing, quail hunting, sh*****ng charters, evening river cruises on the Okatie, saltwater fishing charters, sporting clays, or a good ol family vs. family archery tournament…our goal is to create fantastic multigenerational memories that will be reflected upon fondly for many years to come. The first Oldfield Outfitters quail hunt of the season kicked off this morning at Legacy Hunting in Luray, SC. It’s great to be back in the local quail woods again. Give us a shout to get in on a group hunt or to set up a private outing for visiting friends and family.

Leanna, our staff naturalist, guided our first ever “Oldfield Witches Paddle” and a fantastic time was had by all. This event will certainly become a staple of our Halloween activities!!

Capt. Alex and his anglers flat smoked the bull reds on today’s Oldfield Outfitters charter. Forty-four bulls caught and released before they put the mercy rule in affect. Congrats on an incredible day!

The 2024 Outfitters hosted upland hunt at Harpole Lodge, Illinois is in the books. Beautiful scenery, incredible wingshooting, and great company!! Another “Intro to Shotguns and Shotgun Shooting” two-day clinic is a wrap. Taught by NRA Certified Shotgun Instructors Leanna McMillan and Jason DuBose, the course covered all of the fundamentals of safe and effective shotgun handling and shooting. What a perfect day for a boat caravan to the fabled Daufuskie Island. Historic, unique, beautiful and down right eccentric …. A day spent exploring Daufuskie is indeed a day well spent. These Oldfield members represented the Club and Griswold Care Pairing, an Oldfield member owned business, in the “Friends of Caroline Hospice Charity Sporting Clays Tournament “ at Turkey Hill Plantation. A great time was had by all and money was raised for a great cause. Big thanks to Mike Falvo, owner of Griswold Care Pairing, for sponsoring the team.

Our first Oldfield Outfitters hosted trip to Cabo San Lucas, MX is a wrap and a fantastic time was had by all!! Yellowfin Tuna up to 159lbs, Blue Marlin up to 280lbs, Striped Marlin up to 180 lbs, Wahoo up to 48lbs, and plenty of Mahi were caught across three days of fishing by the 27 Oldfield members and guests that traveled with us. What a great adventure it was! Stay tuned for the dates the 2025 Cabo trip dates !!
