I don't do this often and I never try to put 1 band over another. However, I do try to raise awareness of anything positive in our industry that I feel helps it. Just count the legends we have lost in the last 5 years. In case you haven't noticed, we are losing them faster than they are being replaced, if that is even possible. I am responsible for what I put on our stages and we are blessed to have the talent to do it. When we see a project like this, we get excited but also realize that it will only last if they are able to work steadily and profitably. Our customers loved them and the people in attendance that were new to bluegrass also loved it and were left wanting more. What better way to celebrate and honor the pioneers of bluegrass music by showcasing these stellar and highly respected musicians to represent. . Promoter friends, hire this band now, don't wait.... They have all created their own corner of history individually. Now they are also preserving a huge part of our music not to mention the art of bluegrass itself.
Let me end by saying, every band needs work right now and every customer that buys a ticket deserves to be entertained. As promoters, we have bands that we like to work with because they fit our vision and our audience, Southern Legacy will too... This band is a home run!
