In I Love Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Michigan's Oldest City, settled in 1668. Founded and named by Father Jacques Marquette. Its name came from the French word, "Sault" meaning "Rapids". And "St. Marie" from the Virgin Mary.
I've been here for two weeks collecting smartphone photos and personal memories for my upcoming book & narrated slide program, "Michigan By Smartphone, Tablet & Drone". This program will be offered in Michigan Libraries in 2025. Autographed copies of the book will be on sale after the program.
