We have some really big news. After seven incredible years of sharing Oklahoma City’s stories on two wheels, the time has come to close this chapter. Ride OKC started in 2018 as a dream inspired by a guided bike tour my wife, Ashley, and I took early in our relationship. That spark of adventure grew into something bigger than I ever imagined—a way to connect locals and visitors alike to the hidden gems of OKC.

Through tours like the Art & Architecture, Holiday Lights Ride, Bikes and Brews, and more, we’ve explored the heart of this city together. Along the way, we’ve met amazing people from all over the world and shared unforgettable moments—like cruising downtown with my dad’s Christmas tree bike trailer, hosting Harley riders from Copenhagen, and introducing kids to safe urban cycling through our partnerships with local schools.

But like any journey, this one must come to an end. With two young kids and a renewed focus on family, I’ve made the bittersweet decision to return to my architectural roots. Ride OKC is officially for sale, and we sincerely hope someone will carry on its legacy. If no buyer steps forward by March 14, 2025, we’ll begin the process of closing and selling off the bikes and equipment.

To everyone who rode with us, supported us, or just waved and smiled as we pedaled by—thank you. This city is a beautiful place, and I hope Ride OKC helped you see it in a new light.

Here’s to the next adventure—and to keeping the wheels turning.

Last Fall we were invited to lead an history bike tour with @okcarchitecture. One of our favorite notable stops, the Kee Residence, is a rare example of Dutch South African colonial architecture designed by G.W. Van Meter and built in 1907. Pretty sure our nerdery was out in full force while speaking about some of the striking features. Those oversized curvilinear gables, the opulent medallion embellishments, the circular dormer windows, and the art nouveau door are pretty triumphant right?! To our delight, the next day a participant on the tour sent us this postcard they found from the Kee’s dated August 27, 1912. It read: “Wish I was home again, it is certainly hot down here. We are glad you enjoyed your visit. About us

Hi. I'm Ryan and this is my beautiful wife, Ashley. After going on several guided bike tours while traveling on vacation, we realized how great of a way they can be to quickly discover the lay of the land. Often times, the stories we heard and things we saw on the tour would become the best part of the trip. Upon returning home to Oklahoma City, a place with such a unique history, we often wondered why a bike tour wasn't offered here. After drawing up some plans (I'm an architect) and crunching the numbers (Ashley's a CPA), Ride OKC was born. As passionate native Oklahoman's and your guides, our goal is to bring visitors and the local community together to explore a city that we love in the most fun way possible, by riding bikes. We hope to show you some unexpected hidden gems along the way and maybe even enjoy a pint together at one of our award winning breweries.
