BUFFALO MASS SHOOTING: Aaron Salter, photographed below, is a retired Buffalo Police Officer who was working security at Tops when Payton Gendron opened fire on over a dozen individuals on Saturday, May 14th, 2022. Salter returned fire on the shooter when he entered the building but did not pierce his body armor. The shooter returned fire, killing Salter. BPD Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia called Salter, "a hero in our eyes."

The Fisherman's Park at the Burt Dam is open! Price is still $3/person, hours are 5am to dusk, but as always, everyone must adhere to NYS fishing guidelines found at the park, as well as online:
