Make sure to pick up the Adirondack Express Summer Guide 2024 when you come to town. You can find a copy in many places in Old Forge like the convenience stores and coffee shops. There is a map of the area, calendar of events, dining, shopping and entertainment options in the area. There is even an occasional coupon and who doesn’t love to save 💲😁

It’s ! The pollinators love the lilacs and other flowers at and we are grateful to have a plethora of pollinators visiting daily. 🐝🐞🦋

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation has some great pollinator facts to share down below. ⬇️

It’s June 17-23! Here are some fast facts to celebrate the hard work pollinators do every day:

🦋 There are more than 200,000 pollinator species worldwide. More than 199,000 species are insects such as bees, beetles, ants, moths, etc. About 1,000 of those species are birds and small mammals.
🌻 About 75% of all flowering plant species need the help of pollinators to be fertilized, including about 33% of all foods and beverages we consume.
🐝 In the U.S., pollinators help provide an estimated $20 billion dollars’ worth of products annually—that's not just food and drinks, but also fibers and medicines.

Let us present the fully remodeled Guest Cottage at Camp 1910 at Windsong Acres! We hope you love it as much as we do and will want to stay at this beautiful lake cabin that features 3-bedrooms and 2-full baths right on 4th Lake in the beautiful Adirondacks!

This was not an easy renovation as we went down to the bare bones to rebuild the cottage into a new fresh structure to be enjoyed for many years to come.

As far as the renovations: 💪🏼🔨

The ceilings were raised to allow for a more spacious open feel and beautiful pine wood was added.

A new roof, windows and flooring were put in.

A second bathroom was added. The second bathroom turned out just gorgeous with a walk in glass spa shower with a rain shower head and Toto heated toilet. The floors are heated as well.

Split heating and air conditioning wall units were added.

Natural oak acoustic slat wood wall with tv and electric heater fireplace in the living room.

We removed the bunk beds in the third bedroom and added a queen bed to add a sleeping space for extra adults if needed.

All new beds, furniture, light features, bed linens, and decor were also added.

The new added chef kitchen is twice the size as the original and features a top of the line Z Line luxury stove and refrigerator. A large farmhouse sink was installed. The sink view was moved from the side to under the lake facing window for better views.

Our favorite part is how much the view has just really opened up looking out onto the beautiful Fourth lake. 🦆

There’s a small handful of things that we still need to take care of, mainly the backsplash which will be installed at a later date and will really make the kitchen pop. ✨

We are getting ready for the busy season and look forward to our return guests enjoying all of the little touches and updates at the properties.

In particular, the landscaping is coming along nicely at Camp 1910 at Windsong Acres. 🌷🌿🌱🍃🌳.

The fern hanging baskets at The Grand Little Cabin hang nicely on the front porch and add a touch of sophisticated greenery without making things look too busy.

The pots around The Big House and The Guest Cottage were planted with a variety of pretty flowers. We also added more flowers and fresh mulching around the homes with a variety of plants and flowers.

We are so looking forward to your stay!
