Save the date!

We are hosting a Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 20th from 10:00am-12:00pm at Old Orchard Beach High School.

Are you or your child interested in learning how to ride a bike but not sure where to start? A bike rodeo may be just what you need! A bike rodeo is a fun and interactive way to learn how to ride a bike while also learning important safety skills.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to properly fit a helmet, safely mount and dismount their bike, navigate obstacle courses, and practice safe riding techniques.

The “Love your Brain” Michael T. Goulet Foundation will be providing free helmets (while supplies last) to participants as well as offering individual helmet fittings.

The OOB Police and Fire Departments will also be teaching participants how to do their own bicycle checks, as well as teaching participants about bike safety, first aid, and the rules of the road.

We will also have the grill fired up, with free hot dogs and water to refuel between obstacle course runs!

Be sure to grab your bike and helmets and join us for this free community event!

Where: UNE pool in Biddeford

When:

April 22nd 10:00-2:00
April 25th 4:00-6:45
April 30th 10:00-12:00
Who: Applicants must be at least 17 years old

What:

Interested attendees will interview on the spot, then have to complete a 500-meter swim without stopping, retrieve a brick from the bottom of the pool and run 2 miles at the tryout.
