This morning I am working on my client proposals for a specific type of resort in three different destinations (Cancun, DR, and St. Lucia) for them to compare.

Travel Tip Tuesday!

It’s so important to know what you are allowed and not allowed to bring into the country you are traveling to. 👉

‼️Mexico has customs rules that have been in existence for some time, and over the last few years, they have started enforcing these rules more than in the past. Some of the customs rules will not be relevant to you, but a few are REALLY important, and you must know about them (my reading my pre travel documents) or risk issues at the airport and paying taxes.

💻You are only allowed to bring 1 (one) computing device into Mexico, tax free, whether you are on vacation or living here. I have translated it from Spanish, but it reads “a portable computer of the so-called laptop, notebook, omni book or similar”.

💸This means, if you bring a laptop AND an iPad, and get searched you will have to pay tax/duty on one of them, depending on the value of the device. I do not work for Mexican customs, so I cannot provide more details on this, but I don’t believe a Kindle falls into this category as the only thing you can do on it is read, not compute.

🤷‍♀️ In 99% of cases, the person bringing a laptop and an iPad is doing so for work purposes, but customs agents have to assume that anyone doing so could be trying to sell one of the devices, hence the taxing.

Friend trips are the BEST trips, do you agree?! However there are so many more factors that come into play when planning for a group...

• Deciding a destination and resort

• Room categories for different styles and budgets

• Airfare options and availability

• Arranging transfers

• Advanced dining and excursion reservations

I love working with friend groups and I have the very BEST clients! 🫶

Client Review! Guys, THIS is why I do what I do...I absolutely love taking care of my clients every👏 single 👏step👏 of the way! 🫶

Let me preface this by saying we hardly ever travel, so thinking about planning an out of the country vacation causes this girl anxiety. I told Kelli what we were looking for in a resort and our vacation and she nailed it. We stayed at Coral level at Iberostar, and it exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautiful and the staff was amazing! Before we left, Kelli put together our travel itinerary. She included little tips like what to wear at the resort, reminders and suggestions of things to pack for the trip, tipping, reminders for the flight, etc. We didn’t have to worry about transportation to the resort. She texted me the day we arrived to ask how the flight went and made herself available if we needed anything or had any problems throughout our stay. We were going to meet a friend at Playa del Carmen. She offered to help arrange transportation. She continued to check in during the trip and sent reminders of what needed to be done prior to departure. Thanks to her, our vacation was stress free and all the logistics were taken care of. I highly recommend her services and she will definitely be our go to for future travels!

I’ve been a bit quiet on my page recently as I’ve been so busy helping all of your book your dream vacations!

Here are a couple of fun facts about me for those that are new here...

1️⃣ I became a travel advisor in 2018 and have found my passion and expertise in helping people experience Mexico and Caribbean beach destinations!

2️⃣ I will be crossing two things off my bucket list in the next year: taking the family on their first trip to Mexico this winter and exploring Italy in fall 2025!

3️⃣ My favorite food is Thai, but any Asian food is 🤤! Pictured is drunken noodles at my favorite all-inclusive resort in Playa Mujeres.

4️⃣ I am exploring a new resort with my family this week, stay tuned to see where we go! Can’t wait to share it with you!

Today was so informative and so much fun!! I got to enjoy a wonderful lunch hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism board. 🏝️

Big birthday shoutout to Norrell Joseph who spent his birthday showing off this beautiful destination to us! And to my Sandals BDM Kerri Ballard for giving us the updates with the Sandals Grand Antigua! It was so great to see you both again and network with other travel advisors as well!

Today I dove in deep us alllll things Antigua and Barbuda!

I fell in love with these islands when I first started selling them two years ago! It’s voted the “most romantic island” and has the “world most romantic resort” located here for a reason! ❤️ ❤️

✈️ My favorite update✈️- easier and more accessible daily flights!!! This means, my midwesterners have way better options to choose from!!

This destination is full of a little something for everyone from adults only, family friendly, boutique resort to large all-inclusive resorts! Also, 3️⃣6️⃣6️⃣ beach to choose from!! 😮 🤩

Had an awesome lunch n learn at with my awesome Iberostar BDM Cesar Romero! It was great to mingle with other agents and learn from each other!

There a lot of fun and exciting updates happening at these resorts in Mexico🇲🇽 , Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 and Jamaica! 🇯🇲

Especially loved to learn about , which is the perfect resort for many honeymooners!

Sharing some pics from such a unique excursion we did in Jamaica. Its called the Rastasafari Experience ltd. and is truly one of the best ways to see and experience an authentic local village.

🌴 During the excursion we did such a variety of activities....we took ATV rides through the mountainside, stopped by a swimming hole, sampled local fruit, saw breathtaking waterfalls, learned about the local plants and animals, stopped by a g***a farm, and finished with a complimentary Jamaican meal. It was a jammed pack 4 hour experience, yet at the same time was very chill ... we were on Jamaican time as they would say.

All the guides are locals raised there, so they truly are experts as so full of knowledge. Their passion for their home is apparent as they spend quality time with visitors showing off their beautiful backyard playground.

This excursion is located about 45 east of Negril, and 1 hour south of Montego Bay with transfers included. So, if you are up for adventure, and staying in either of these areas I would hands down recommend this day trip!

I do these excursions so I can know what to recommend (and not recommend) based on what type of experiences you are looking for. 🫶 🫶

The warm summer months also often come with heavier than normal sargassum along beaches! BUT- we have been so lucky this summer to have several beaches in the Riviera Maya untouched and absolutly perfect! 🫶
