If you were unable to attend the Greater Omaha Scuba Club Holiday Party last night, President Lloyd Montgomery and Corresponding Secretary Connie Springer announced they are stepping down from their positions effective immediately. We had a great run for the past 17 years and have made many lifelong friends along the way. Nearly all club positions are available. Regarding the club evening at Bellevue Berry Farm / Ranch of Terror on Friday night Oct. 18, Nebraska is still under a burn ban. Dennis will bring a propane grill for grilling hot dogs or anything else you want to grill. Bring your own buns, condiments, etc. They expect record crowds so plan to arrive early, and you can purchase tickets in advance to save time. 🎃👻☠️🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️

Hello divers! The club received the request below.

My name is Chelsey Loder, I'm the owner of L2 Aquariums. We are the aquariums service company that takes care of the large aquariums inside the Cabela's in the La Vista/Omaha area.

I'm currently on the search to hire a part time diver. If you would be able to relay this message out to your local diving community that would be amazing.

It is an extremely part-time position. Only 3-5 hours a week (work one day of the week). The diver will be assisting our current aquarist with diving and cleaning the exhibits. You both will be on site together to act as dive buddies and safety tenders. The day/times are extremely flexible as you will coordinate together on what day and time frame you want to perform the dives.

You will be an L2 Aquariums employee. $25/hour. Direct deposit paid once a month. We will provide all your gear except the mask. We do ask for a year commitment for this position. It's a super fun little part time gig to get you in the water and make some extra cash. We are open to training the right person to perform other aquarium tasks along the way. Perfect opportunity for someone wanting to get their foot in the door in the Marine Biology field or just an avid diver. It is a lot of hard work scrubbing that algae off and keeping the exhibits looking great!

One of the busiest days at the Mt. Etna, IA Quarry ever with all the students from NE & IA completing their certifications. Great to see you Mitch and to meet your son.
