This Saturday and Sunday!!!

I'm on my way from Omaha to set up today in Sioux Falls. I received new shipments of Hampshire Sheen and Intrinsic Colours, Walrus Oil, and Starbond CA and epoxy glues. I will also have some lathe accessories from Penn State Industries to offer as well. It's going to be a great expo and worth the little drive time to get there. I hope to see you there!!!

Yup, it's that time of year again. Our Spring Studio Open House is in a week! Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd. Come for the art! Come for the refreshments! Come for the comradery! Come for the elevator music! Hope to see you this upcoming weekend!

This is the last Saturday before Christmas! If you are wanting to give one-of-a-kind hand-made artwork for that truly memorable gift, we are open from 10am-5pm. Skip the department store mass produced items and get the unique hand crafted pieces that can be passed through the generations.

So, I am now an authorized Easy Wood Tool demonstrator. (Dramatic pause for applause...) My first demo in this capacity will be this Saturday (tomorrow) at 1pm at Woodcraft of Omaha. I will be turning a bowl as I have been known to do. Bring your questions and turning issues and I will answer as many as I can in the time available. Hope to see you there!

Working on some flatware for a change. Another 25 cheese slicer boards made out of the fir from the barn at Boystown. Total order will be 250 from the developer that bought the farm from Boystown. They will be used as corporate gifts to their large clients who are leasing space in the buildings they are erecting on the farm site.

Exciting news! A website is born!
Well, sort of. There still is some tweaking and polishing that will be ongoing I'm sure, but some of the products that I carry are now available on the site. And THAT is another topic for excitement! We are now an authorized importer for Hampshire Sheen and the Intrinsic Colour Collection! Developed by professional woodturner Martin Saban-Smith in the UK, these product lines have proven to be very popular.
The Hampshire Sheen line of products includes a food-safe Danish Oil, and a Pre-Thinned Cellulose Sanding Sealer. There are waxes: a Gloss Finishing Wax, a Microcrystalline Wax, and 9 colored Embellishing Waxes.
The Intrinsic Colour Collection are wood dyes in 12 unique shades that will bring out the best in your woodturnings.
