So, it appears there’s even bad news in paradise.
In a sea shell, lodging tax is going up in Orange Beach.
Here’s an excerpt from the article.

Under the plan, the city’s lodging tax rate will go from 13% to 15% on September 1, 2022. An additional 1 percentage point will go in effect a year later, on September 1, 2023.

With that being said, don’t shoot the messenger. Like everything , the cost to relax, is going up also. If you see your rental rates are a little higher later in the year then last year, this is why. Thank you for understanding and hopefully your continued patronage of Evergreen and Evergreen II

We appreciate everyone that has given us a chance to be your beach vacation destination. Our cleaning staff as brought it to our attention that more personal items then normal are being left in our units. Please check all closets and drawers before checking out. We have tried to get these items back to those that have left them, but since we do not live in the area, this is being tasked to the cleaning crew. It’s a monetary issue, but more importantly it’s a time issue. We will always try to get your important personal belongings back to you, but be patient, it may take awhile. Our cleaning crew has also informed us, this will no longer be a free service. There will be a $20 fee plus postage for all returned items. We hope you continue to enjoy our beautiful beaches, and continue to enjoy Evergreen 1 and Evergreen II.
