r many years before, Jon saw a bigger opportunity: lockbox and payment services in the U.S. property management industry. Jon left GSB in 1999 and founded Klik Technologies. Jon grew Klik to become the largest provider of lockbox services in the property management industry, while also expanding to other industries including nonprofits and financial services. Processing over $1B per month, Klik Technologies was acquired by Union Bank in 2012 and Jon returned to GSB in 2013. Jon brought his deep knowledge of digital transactions and technology to GSB and uplifted their IT infrastructure and expanded GSB’s bill delivery options to include email. In 2016, Jon’s entrepreneurial spirit and vision again led him to see a larger opportunity in billing and payments. The days of paper bills and checks are fading. Household bill presentment and payments were about to take a leap forward in mobile and web-based technology. The growth of electronic payments, online banking, cloud-based document delivery and storage, and sophisticated app development, present an opportunity to reinvent billing and payments across several recurring billing industries. Jon brought on Ron Shultz as Chief Revenue Officer and co-founder, and began plans to launch billbridge. Before billbridge, Ron spent 17 years as an executive at American Express including time spent building Amex’s SMB merchant network in the U.S., experience he is leveraging to create billbridge’s network of distribution partners.
