Reminder! Upstate Brewing Company QKA in Penn Yan, NY opens up this weekend! Stop by if you're in the Finger Lakes. Grab a pint or two, take in the scenery of the Keuka Outlet Trail out back and wish them best of luck on opening their third location. We'll be there Sunday will a little crew from Buffalo.

New brewery alert! Love seeing the construction of a new brewery near me. Just over the Erie County line into Wyoming County, corner of Folsomdale Road and 20A in the Town of Sheldon, NY. Across from Harris Corners Fire Department. My local brewery sources tell me this will be a brewery and event center. Big structure, looks amazing with an elevated view of the Wyoming County Hills. Perfect addition to team up a stop with WINDY BREW-Strykersville less than a mile down the road. Or pop in after a round of golf at Ironwood Golf Course or Byrncliffe Resort. And just a short drive from 42 North Brewing Company in East Aurora. Love seeing tourism take shape, as a rising tide lifts all ships. Things a happening in Wyoming County NY Tourism. Will keep you posted as more develops and I get an official brewery name.
Edit: Brewery will be called Farmcraft Brewery !!

Fun time in Geneva, NY this week. Best of both worlds. Got to catch up with my fellow Bills fans the Sharman family, owners of Big Oak Golf Course. Was also able to volunteer and help at their annual charity golf tournament to raise funds for Clifton Springs NY Hospital & Clinic, part of Rochester Regional Health. Proceeds go to their cancer until helping cancer patients with daily day to day expenses. Great cause! And props to the Sharman Family and Big Oak as they have raised over $150,000 to date since taking on this cause. Great people doing great things.

Always looking for breweries near me, so just point the way. Heading east out to Keuka Lake, and made a pit stop near Letchworth State Park in Perry, NY at Silver Lake Brewing Project. Was hoping to see my old softball pal pouring beers, but she's on the mend in the hospital. Hope she gets some soon. Anyway, been a couple years since the last visit here. Beer is always solid, 10 on tap, and a good diverse offering which is usually top of my list on boxes to check. They also make their own soda! Went with the Cream Ale and Italian Pilsner. Easy stop to make when heading east from Buffalo to pick up the I 390 or after a trip to Letchworth.

A small, intimate little hometown brewery that offers up in-house brewed craft beer, seltzers, spirits and their signature deep dish pizza. Open til 10pm on Sundays! Stop on by.

Congrats to on the new tap room location opening up here in Buffalo. A Buffalo location for Frequentum is probably a good move for myself. I love Canandaigua, would live there if I could, but I get in WAY too much trouble in that down lol.
The Mrs. Enjoyed the fruited sours. For myself, great to see some darker variety on the menu with the Schwarzbier. Love the mini, test tube like Pilsner glasses too!
Nice addition to the First Ward neighborhood. Should do well. Check it out.

More from No Cal. Popped into in Lodi, CA. Went with owner Grant’s recommendation on the Bazooka Brew Juicy IPA 7.4%. Two thumbs up. It was actually gluten free too! Wish we could have made this one a longer stop. Bazooka Brew is not a traditional West Coast IPA, but my theory (as an east coast guy, who has really moved on from IPAs) is that IPAs do taste better on the west coast. Has to be the water ?? Especially the west coast variety.

Family holiday trip out to Cali for the Bills/Chargers game and to visit family in No Cal is in the books. Was pleasantly surprised by the downtown Lodi, CA business district and all it had to offer for a town home to less than 70,000 people. Located about 1.5 hours east of San Fran. First stop was . Huge brew pub, bustling during the holidays offering up a very sizable food menu, Northern CA wine and in-house brewed beers. A must stop for dinner and beverages while in the area. More pics to come.
