This fire broke about about 5:15 or so tonight…..the thick black smoke poured into the sky. The news said it was Milwaukie and may involve an apartment fire. Fire trucks came from all over. I was praying for firefighters and all those involved…🙏🙏🙏🙏.

Mark and I had a fun and long day after worship service Sunday. We went for what was supposed to be an hour long trip to Molalla area in search of a gravel pit to do some target shooting next weekend. In stead we went to Molalla and then toward Estacada looking for another gravel pit we had heard about. Then we got hungry so we stopped at the Cazadero for a bite to eat. Enjoyed our meal and watching out the windows at all the kayakers and paddle boarders on the Clackamas River. Then we decided to go and see if Promontory Park was open. It was! But then I just kept driving up through all the area that was burned out a couple years ago with all the wildfires. Long story short…..we drove all the way to Detroit Lake and came back through Silverton and all the back roads. Drove over 175 miles and didn’t get home til after 7 PM! It was a crazy long Sunday drive but well worth the time!

Kevin and Kelli Wright threw their own retirement party last Saturday night complete with a pig roast, drinks, pop-up-tents, singing and music….at their home in Clackamas. It was fun, sentimental and a loving tribute to these two fine human beings .. ❤️

Thank you God for the freedoms we experience here in the United States. Help us never to take it lightly or for granted. Many in the past have given their lives for these freedoms. Help us to return to our roots and a new appreciation of this blessed land in which we live. Help us to love our neighbor as ourselves. But most of all help us to put You first in our own lives and in the governing of this great land. We need You, Lord.

Jan and I celebrated her birthday a couple days early at Stanfords in Clackamas. Very good food and Laura was our waitress and she was a sweetheart. She took these pictures but lighting is a bit bright with the windows. We had a shared Crème Brûlée for dessert - Delighful!
