Today I’m posting for those of you who book your own vacations and aren’t sure about using a travel planner, like myself. Here are a few of the things I’ve heard, but I want to assure you that this could be a WIN x WIN situation!

•”I’m used to booking my own trips.”
If you enjoy booking yourself, come to me with your set plans, and let me just click the buttons! I can be as hands-on or hands-off with the planning portion as you like.

•”I’ve been going to Disney my whole life. Why would I pay someone to book it for me?”
You won’t! I don’t charge a dime to book your vacations, for real!

•”I don’t want to bother Alysse when I’m capable of doing it myself.”
Booking your vacation is not a bother at all! I get a commission from the destinations I book (that’s how I get paid) so it’s actually REALLY helpful when you DO reach out!

•”I’m not booking Disney, so Alysse can’t help me.”
I book more than just Disney Vacations! Yes, I book a lot of Disney Cruises, Disneyland, and Walt Disney World trips, but I can also book your trips to Hawaii, All-Inclusives in Mexico and the Caribbean, Universal Studios, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Vegas, Sandals, and the list goes on!

•”We have Disney passes, so I don’t need Alysse to book for me.”
Even if you have passes, I can still book your hotel arrangements.

•”I don’t trust that a travel planner will get it right.”
After receiving my bachelors degree in Geography: Travel & Tourism, I’ve been involved in the Travel Industry for 15 years, and have had this job with WDWGetaways for 4 years now. Pregnant at Disney World? Who’s been there? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Believe it or not, I’ve been to a Disney Park during each of my 5 pregnancies. 4 of the 5 were within the first 4-8 weeks. But this final pregnancy, I was there at about 32 weeks. Regardless of which stage of pregnancy I’ve been in, I’ve always played it safe and stayed off of the attractions that advise pregnant women not to ride.
These have actually been really peaceful, more laid back trips because I knew that I’d be spending down time soaking in the atmosphere or riding attractions like Peoplemover multiple times while everyone else rode the big rides. Safe-D begins with me!
Swimming is one of my favorite things to do, pregnant or not, but I’ve made sure to get in extra pool time when I have been vacationing with a baby in my belly. The Disney Resort pools are each themed and very fun to spend time at, and if you have other kids, I can pretty much guarantee you won’t hear any complaints from them!
I have major food aversions when I’m pregnant, especially in the first few months, so I make sure to pack snacks that I know my tummy can handle, and I always look up dining menus on the My Disney Experience app beforehand so that I know where I can find the most bearable foods. Bland food is usually the way to go for most, and thankfully, things like bread or mashed potatoes can be found at most parks and resorts. The refillable resort mugs come in handy to always have water on hand, but also for soda when those headaches come on.
Lastly, I want to talk about the main reason I love going to Disney Parks with child. If you thought wearing a birthday button got you lots of positive attention from cast members, wait til you’re walking around with a baby inside you, if it’s apparent of course. Like I said, I’ve only been visibly pregnant during one trip. But I experienced so many smiles, doors being held open, and just a lot of kindness and consideration.
I don’t ever plan to be at Disneyland or Disney World while pregnant, it has just happened that way. But I hope I get to do it at least one more time. 😉

We just returned from a magical Disneyland vacation with my parents, sisters, and brothers! All of our spouses were on board to stay home with the kids while the original eight of us took off to the happiest place on earth and enjoyed an old school Disney trip. If you ever get the opportunity to do something like this with your family, I highly recommend it, and I highly recommend you letting me help you plan and book it! 😉 Four of us six siblings still live close, but our sister flew in from Florida and our brother lives around the corner from Disneyland, so it worked out perfectly. Is it weird that I’m a little bit going to miss coordinating my mask with my outfit though? Anyone else obsessed with the Disney Skyliner? The Monorail has always been my favorite mode of Disney transportation and I think it will always continue to be the most magical. However, the Skyliner almost rivals it. Even on Disney vacations when we are not staying at a Disney Skyliner Resort, we go ride it just for fun! It reminds me of riding the Disneyland Skyway when I was little! I have to say, if your going to Disney World, you’ll maximize your time best, and feel most immersed in the Magic, if you stay at a Monorail or Skyliner Resort! It is so efficient and most convenient to be able to walk out of your room and be en route to the parks in a matter of minutes or seconds! Monorail Resorts include Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (my favorite), Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Skyliner Resorts consist of Disney’s Boardwalk, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, Disney’s (new) Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (best value), Disney’s Art of Animation, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This particular photo was taken over Hourglass Lake en route to Art of Animation from Caribbean Beach. Each gondola fits up to 10 guests and we rolled our double stroller on with ease and still had plenty of room, as you can see. ☺️ For questions about any of these resorts, DM me! WDWGetaways

“Who knows where a dream might lead! One wish, that is all you need!” This was one of the most exciting events that I had the chance of performing at as a Disney Cast Member! My five-days-a-week stage was at Festival of the Lion King, my favorite stage of all! But events like this took me dance on iconic stages like the Cinderella Castle Stage, Star Wars Weekends, and here at Port Canaveral for the debut of the Disney Dream Cruise Ship Ceremony! Dancing on stage next to Jennifer Hudson and Mickey Mouse himself, performing for people like Bob Iger, Samantha Brown, Whoopi Goldberg, and John Stamos did not seem like real life! What an opportunity that was and what an experience I’ll forever cherish! And now, this week I just booked my first Disney Cruise for a client, on the Disney Dream’s sister ship, the Disney Fantasy! We tried two Dole Whips for our first time yesterday! Now, a classic Pineapple Dole Whip is essential on a Disney vacation, but have you tried the “I Lava You” Float or the Kakamora Float yet? Which one gets your vote? “I Lava You” can be found at Sunshine Tree Terrace and is a Citrus Swirl with Fanta, passionfruit-strawberry drizzle, and pop rocks! You can find the Kakamora at Aloha Isle near Enchanted Tiki Room and it’s a coconut Dole Whip with pineapple juice and Blue Curaçao.
