Our 2025 fishing Calander and Outlook for Spec Fever Guide Service
February and March: Our fishing will concentrate around New Bern and include a large number of game fish, including stripers, redfish, speckled trout, largemouth bass, bluefish, hickory and American shad, crappie, perch and catfish. Much of the fishing is done in areas of cypress forest! We specialize in light tackle artificial lure and fly-fishing trips.
April: Striped bass will be the focus of our April Charters and center around the Congaree River in Columbia, SC. Large and smallmouth bass and a variety of other freshwater fish are available to target. Again, our charters specialize in light tackle artificial lure and fly-fishing trips.
Summer: Our warm weather charters focus on the Neuse River from either Oriental or New Nern, NC, although more remote trips to the Pamlico and Core Sound are possible on full days with favorable weather conditions. Our world class large bluefish and trophy redfish fisheries need no introduction. Reds, specks, flounder, Spanish, tarpon and striped bass round out our primary targeted species. As always, our charters specialize in light tackle artificial lure and fly-fishing trips. If you are interested in bait fishing charters for adult redfish, we can help you set up a trip.
Fall: Fall is always a fantastic time to fish in NC, Redfish over 50 pounds, specks, bluefish, stripers and slot redfish are all targets. I also offer Cape Lookout false albacore charters in late October and early November.
