I have been addicted to cruising since my honeymoon in 2013!! Over the years my friend Lori and I would talk about how much fun it would be if we were travel agents and could vacation, or send people on vacation, for a living!! Fast forward to October 2021 sailing on Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady where I met this super fun dude named Dillon!! We clicked and became INSTANT FRIENDS!! 6 months later wh

en I asked him to be my mentor in the travel industry, he dropped an amazing opportunity into my lap!! He said “I’m not giving you anything!! You have to work for it!!” And work for it I did!! Less than a year later I couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to MY BRAND, a sub-brand of Guyer Travel, called “Get It On”!! A little about me... I am based in the Central Florida, Orlando area!! My husband Rich and I live in our 5th wheel camper!! We're about 10-20 minutes from the major theme parks and attractions and about 45 minutes or so from the ocean!! We have 2 children, a 24 and 30 year old who are out in the world doing their adult thing!! We also have 3 dogs, the sweetest 14 year old chihuahua you will ever meet and 2 of the craziest Boston Terriers on planet Earth!! We love being able to take our home with us when we travel BUT stick me on a cruise ship and send me ANYWHERE!!

Fun Fact Friday 🤯

In 1992, a shipping accident turned into one of the most unexpected (and adorable) science experiments ever!! 🛳️🌊 A cargo ship, Ever Laurel, hit rough seas, and one of its containers—holding 29,000 rubber ducks and other bath toys—tumbled into the Pacific Ocean!! Instead of making their way to bathtubs, these little adventurers set off on the ultimate ocean voyage!! 🐥🌍

At first, no one thought much of it—just some lost bath toys bobbing along the waves!! 🌊🛟 But then, months later, the first ducks started washing up on Alaska’s shores—over 2,000 miles away!! 🏔️😲 Scientists realized they had a golden opportunity (or should we say a yellow one? 😉) to track ocean currents using these floating explorers!!

Over the years, the ducks kept traveling, drifting through the Arctic ❄️, making surprise landings in Hawaii 🌴, popping up in Europe 🇪🇺, and even reaching the icy waters near Greenland 🧊!! Some were at sea for over a decade!! ⏳ These fearless floaters helped oceanographers understand how currents move, how debris spreads, and even gave insight into ocean pollution!! 🧑‍🔬🌊

So, what started as a shipping mishap became a legendary science experiment!! 🏆🐥 Who knew that a lost rubber duck could teach us so much about the ocean?!? Just goes to show—sometimes the best discoveries happen by accident!! ✨🦆
