From the bottom of my heart ... Thank you, Orlando! This city, and a lot of folks from beyond, has supported me so much in my BBQ venture over the last 9 years. It's truly humbling. Thanksgiving is special to me. It's my favorite holiday, but tomorrow marks 11 years since my father passed. He was the driving force behind my cooking & everything that came with it - rubs, sauces, competing, catering & opening a retail store. Today, I hope everyone enjoys their turkeys that I smoked. Enjoy your day & the people you surround yourself with.

Happy Thursday, y'all! Couple of things ... Hopefully this time next week you'll be doing some serious couch time after mauling one of our smoked turkeys (only a few left!) More importantly, after much research, I split your generous donations for my trip to Burnsville, NC between 2 wonderful groups - Bald Creek Relief & Rebuilding Hollers - Come Hell or High Waters. Both organizations are non-profit and working tirelessly to rebuild Yancey County. I am looking forward to going back after the new year and helping in any capacity that I can. I appreciate everyone's support!

I'll be hosting a hands-on class with my friends Edible Education Experience on Thursday December 5th. This class will concentrate on live fire cooking and seasoning - we'll build both together, while creating a delicious meal focusing on a couple of proteins & locally sourced vegetables. Been waiting for this to go public. I love it when a well executed plan comes together & dreams are forged. Proud of my guy Craig Tabor ... Save me a platter on Opening Night, brother! 🤙

Sometimes you unexpectedly have some of the best food of your life. This was the case a few months ago over Father’s Day when Alison ordered BBQ from Craig Tabor. Not only was his meat among the best I’ve ever had, his sides were the best I’ve ever had. Craig has also written two cookbooks, which I thought was incredible.

Fast forward a few months later, Roland and I were trying to figure out how to work with him, when Gus from Big Burritos Mexican Grill also joined the fold. So…….With that being said, we are all super thrilled to announce we are opening Craigs version of BBQ in the last space on Main Street together.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to have such great partners! Roland and I, are super excited to work with Craig & Gus. Their food, and character is top notch.
We sincerely hope you will join us in welcoming them to Main Street!
