October is coming and the preparations for Halloween are already starting, one of the most awaited commemorative dates by Americans, especially by children.

There are several curiosities surrounding this date, as you can see on the cards…but do you know the history of Halloween?

The celebration began around 3,000 years ago with the Celtic people. They celebrated the arrival of the new year on November 1st.

On that day, it was believed that the dead returned to Earth to take possession of the bodies of the living. As protection against evil spirits, the Celts believed that wearing costumes and making offerings would drive souls away, allowing them to celebrate the date.

And so began Halloween, today celebrated on the night of October 31, when children traditionally walk through the streets dressed up for the famous "Trick-or-treating".

Did you know that Disney turned 50 years old?

The celebration, which began in October 2021, will continue until March 2023.

In celebration of the fiftieth anniversary, the complex inaugurated new attractions such as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, inspired by the movie about the cook mouse, at Epcot, and also the night show “Harmonious”, at Epcot, with new interpretations of classic Disney songs, among others.

Are you planning a trip to Orlando and want to know what is the best season and dates for the trip?
