I've been a travel planner for many years now helping people celebrate a variety of occasions. I have a strong desire to travel as much as possible in order to see and experience new places and people. The Ships Ahoy! Parade was so elaborate, floats, costumes, and dancers. Really incredible!

AquaTheater shows are pretty much always my favorite shows and AquaAction was fantastic. The performers are true athletes and the AquaTheater on this ship is so cool with brand new capabilities.

Royal Caribbean has a huge art collection onboard each ship. There a few of these statues around the ship and they look pretty lifelike.

We got a little 4th of July preview concert. We also learned that we’re just over 7100 people on board and around 70% of them are first time cruisers.

We weren’t allowed to take pictures of the performance but it’s a truly state of the art theater and they used it to put on a pretty fun show.

I got to meet Rover! Such a special treat. She is so cute and well behaved. Loves to pose for pictures although I would too if I got a treat every time.

We had some fairly rough seas for almost 3 full days but over the course of the cruise we had 3 rainbows grace our journey so I’ll call it even.

We took Brightline to and from Miami, which is a game changer. We did the Smart service on the way down and the Premium service on the way back home. Both are great, each with their own perks. It will be how I travel to/from South Florida from now on.

The biggest event on any sailing is Scarlet Night. It starts with a wedding and turns into a night of surprises and happenings all over the ship ending in a giant pool party. Each time turns out to be different but they are all so much fun.

We also got to celebrate Halloween during the cruise. It was a fun night with parties and dancing. I couldn’t decide whether to be good or bad for some reason. 🙂

We also did a couple of extra fee things. There was a sushi making class which was fun, you eat a good amount of food so don’t eat beforehand. We also did the Behind the Scene tour, a little expensive but we had a such a good time. You get to see the bridge, a few different galleys, some the food storage, the ship’s laundry, and maybe the coolest part the engineering control room. We went all the way down to deck 2.

One of the best things about not having kids onboard is that the entertainment doesn’t have to be “family friendly”. We saw Miss Behave Show, Around the World with the Diva, It’s a Ship Show, and Duel Reality, all of which were excellent.

Last stop Funchal! We took a taxi up to what felt like the top of the island, but wasn’t, and then took the toboggan ride before visiting the Monte Palace Tropical Garden. A quick cable car ride down and finished up having afternoon tea at Reid’s Palace overlooking the city and ocean.
