With permission I’m sharing this incredible comforting poem written by one of our guests during her recent stay.
~The Ocean~
As I lay here in slumber, my soul thirsts for calmness and peace. I awaken to the sounds of the ocean waves gently rising and falling, and I know it is calling me to the shore. I reach the waters edge, and feel the warmth of the saltwater gently caressing my feet. The pull of the waves are urging me towards the depths of the sea. I stand, swaying in the warm breeze. As I walk into the ocean, a wave covers me. The world becomes silent and calm, if only for a moment. Thoughts flood my mind. But through all the chaos, I hear God speak to me clearly. HE will feed my soul, and quench my thirst. And HE will not let me succumb to the depths of the ocean. As I rise to the surface, I feel the sun, and breathe in the air, as if I’m breathing for the very first time. I’m peaceful and calm again. Refreshed, renewed. My soul no longer thirsts. My God is enough. And The Ocean is my calming place.

Ummmmmmmmmmm….. Piece of Heaven.
I was truly speechless when I walked in this condo. It literally took my breath way. I was exhausted from a long drive and have serious back and hip issues and everything from the high end luxury furnishings to the incredibly comfortable custom Master bed mattress has left me refreshed and I woke up the next morning NOT hurting! The view from the master bed is unbelievable. We saw pelicans flying right past us! Susan mentioned how close to the water this is but it’s hard to realize just how close until you are here!! You are almost on TOP of the ocean! I’ve never stayed in a place so close to the ocean edge. I had the best nights sleep I have had in a very long time. I didn’t want to get up! The lull of the waves right beside me and that view from the incredible bed is SOOOO amazing!! ….But, I did get up 🙂 Next luxury was my shower…….. ahhhhhhhh. The master bathroom made me feel as if it was a spa all the way down to the shower seat. I know this might sound strange but even the toilet design was serene! I can’t tell you how wonderful Susan was as a hostess. Even though my stay was short she took quite a bit of her time telling me about restaurants and other local interesting things along with the basic information about the property and building. As someone who travels very often I can honestly say I’ve never met anyone that cares as much about my experience at a property. Her attentiveness and amazing eye for design and detail at this condo are unmatched. There is a very nice Publix grocery store a few blocks away but we were planning on eating out as much as possible. There are so many restaurants to try nearby and I think my favorite was Rose villa. It’s a quaint beautiful historic house (painted a bright rose color!) in the old town part of Ormond Beach. The chef has various specials that change periodically but we loved the atmosphere and food was superb. Also loved Peach Valley Cafe for brunch. Susan suggested we try their homemade apple fritters and oh my! After dinner I went for a walk along the ocean edge as the sun was setting and a gentle breeze. Glorious!!!! Making the most use of my time as possible after my walk I decided to use the sauna and workout room in the building since it stayed open 24 hours. I had it all to myself and again slept like a baby again that night. I did NOT want to leave. I’ve already made my reservations for this coming fall and will be staying a-lot longer!
I cannot wait.
