Pool landscaping is done. Now to get it open. The pool and spa heaters were damaged from Hurricane Milton. New heaters will be installed next week.

Hello all,

Pictures tell a thousand stories. Here are some of the happenings here at the resort.

The restoration team is hard at work cleaning and putting everything back together. We will have more rooms turned into us the Saturday and then they should be completed on November 9th. We also are hoping to open the pool November 9th as well.

Regarding the store front in Phase II, I have spoken to a couple of vendors and have an appointment with one on the 9th. As you can imagine, glass companies have their hands full.

The team is doing well. Everyone is in good spirits

Thank you for everyone working with us these last couple of weeks. We will get your resort open again where it is safe and clean for you to have great vacation memories.

The resort is moving along. I believe we will be open starting the 26th. We might not be able to open all the units, but most of them. The Elevator pit in phase I is full again of water. We are getting it pumped out. We had a connection to SPI system for the front desk yesterday, but today we are not able to get back on. IT is coming out tomorrow to look at everything. The pool and spa are getting cleaned out and will be full of water shortly. The new fence and glass for the pool area are at the resort and in the process of getting installed. We continue to have water issues in the basement, nowhere near as much as before. The restoration team is waiting on an Asbestos report and have started to take up some of the basement walls 4’ up.

The new fire pump system is being replaced as we figured the building was down and we ordered it 6 or 7 months ago.

If you have lost your reservation due to the hurricane, we are working to get our systems back up and running. We do not have phones and access to the inventory control system. Please be patient with us as we will reach out to all.

I am sorry to announce. Tropic Sun Tower will be closed till October 26th. There are just to many issues to open the resort and ensure your safety. We will be reaching out to owners who have reservations to refund or move. We sincerely are sorry, but the safety of the guests is of utmost importance.

The pumping truck is here pumping out the elevator pits. Tomorrow we will have the elevator company come inspect. We also have had to remove some walls in the basement due to water intrusion. The pump truck will also be pumping out the drains in the basement as when you flush a toilet now it bubbles up in the basement. YUK.

Tropic Sun Towers has power. We do not have phones, cable, or internet. The remediations team is here mapping out the units to see which ones are wet and putting dehumidifiers in them. The elevator pits are still filled with water, we are waiting on a special pump truck for them as the water has oil in it. Right now the city water processing place can not handle the amount of water going to it and the waste water is backing up into the basement each time someone flushes a toilet here. Some of the walls have been taken out as standing water is behind them and the dehumidifiers are in those areas. More to come. We are trying to open as soon as possible, but might have limited inventory.
