H2Outfitters is located at the very southern end of Orr's Island in the town of Harpswell, on the eastern outskirts of Casco Bay. Orr's Island is accessible by car and only a short drive from Brunswick and Route 1, just 50 minutes from Portland, and approximately 3 hours from Boston. Our touring center sits on one of the long finger-like rocky islands, reaching out into the Bay and is nicely situa

ted right next to the Cribstone Bridge, an engineering feat using large blocks of local granite laid out in a cribwork fashion, which connects Orr's and Bailey's Islands. The combination of protected coves, numerous islands, and open ocean make our location an ideal place for all paddlers to experience a diversity of paddling conditions and scenery. Boasting the longest coastline of any community in Maine, a strong fishing tradition, and the unique Cribstone Bridge, Harpswell offers endless hours of exploration and enjoyment for all ages whether by land or sea. Breathe the fresh mountain air! Yodel til your hearts content…join us for an incredible 7 days of adventure in Switzerland’s southeastern corner, as much Swiss as it is Italian. Enjoy the Mediterranean climate of Lake Lugano and then experience paddling on Lake Sils, situated 6000’ surrounded by snow-covered Alps. You’ll not only have a chance to kayak but explore on foot the magnificent trail systems that Switzerland is known for. Visits to mountain hamlets with sweeping views of the valleys and a stroll through alleyways of idyllic lakeside villages only add to the experience. This is not hard core kayaking but rather a means to experience the region from the unique perspective of a kayak. Autumn’s colors didn’t disappoint on this incredible Lake George kayak camping trip. Despite the cold mornings, the sun warmed things up quickly and the roaring campfires each night provided the perfect endings to each day. Our final paddle is 6 miles today to Ticonderoga and it looks to be another beautiful one! Can’t wait to come back in 2025. If you haven’t paddled Lake George in Autumn put it on your list for next year. ,
