Fishing/Ice update:
The fishing on Big Stone Lake has picked up with the recent warmer temps! We had good reports of bluegill, crappies, perch and a few big walleyes as well! The best bite has been in 11-13ft of water using small tungsten tipped with spikes or waxworms for the panfish and minnows for the bigger fish.

The ice conditions are good with most of the lake at 16-17 inches of ice. Do not cross the heaves. As seen in the awesome picture below taken by legendary Steve Wiener, the ice has small drifts and bare ice. Please wear your ice cleats for your own safety. There has been several slip and falls.

Ben Heins/Cty Rd 68 access is fixed and good to go! Thank you Big Stone County for your work on this. A recent ice push caused the riprap shore to push up and the county went down and fixed it.
Thank you!

Are you or is someone you know a real sports buff? KDIO is in search of someone who would be interested in doing some sports play by play broadcasts. Adam is NOT going anywhere and in fact, he would be working with and training someone who would be a good fit for this paid position. We will consider someone who is dependable with a good speaking voice; you must have reliable transportation. Football, basketball and baseball games are all possibilities and we would consider other sports as well. Please send a resume to [email protected].
