I hope that all my friends an my tour to DC earlier this month got to see some of the Army 250 parade and were able to recognize a lot of the places we visited and say were the presidential review stand was set on Constitutional Ave in front of the White House as we had driven past it numerous times

Thanks to our driver Todd for taking us to DC and a safe trip. Back in Oshkosh we have to thanks these fellas who offered to help onload all the luggage so everyone could be on their way home

Got through Chicago even with all the construction in North bound lane but we kept moving and back in WISCONSIN! Home an hour early than the agenda!

Monday was our last day in DC. We had spent the day on the National Mall Visiting the Jefferson Memorial, The WWII Memorial, The US Capitol Building, The US Naval Memorial, the Museum of American History, a few of the group got down to The National Air and Space Museum. We ended our day at a favorite dinner place: the Texas Roadhouse. And then, time for Sheephead cards when back at the hotel.

Having visited Arlington and seeing the changing of the guard so many times, I know a good place to stand to get the best view .

The Lincoln Memorial, Viet Nam Memorial, Korean War Memorial areas are always very busy and a highlight of lots of tours, including graduation parties and class trips.

After Dinner at the Silver Diner, we had a twilight tour and ended by visiting the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and viewing the city from the rooftop terrace.

Our step on guide gave a tour around to DC to see an over view of some of the highlights we’ll be seeing. Includeing going over the Peace Bridge towards the Lincoln Memorial; The US Capitol building; Ford’s Theater; The Museum of Natural History ; and the National Cathedral as we drove down Embassy Row.
