Today we stopped for lunch at the Buffalo Riverwalk and then picked up our step on guide for the afternoon tour of Buffalo. Mike was an excellent guide! Told us about the history of Buffalo since the earliest of the 1800’s. How it grew because of its location on crossroads between the East and the expansion to the West; all the agriculture and industry that was the hub here…General Mills and General Motors… Stories of Presidents from here. He showed us some of the mansions built by influential people i.e. The Goodyear Mansion, the Knox Masion, the Pratt Mansion, the Sturbridge, the Midway, the Clement, The President Theodore Roosevelt Mansion that is now a National Park site. The riverwalk is becoming an attraction using the old grain silos for amusement park, roller skating, zip lines and restaurants as it continues to grow. They had an event for chalk drawing in the silos. They tower at 125 feet!
