Bridge alert! We have a bridge for ATV/UTV travel only, set at the crack which is near shore at the Wayside Landing. To reiterate, we have this bridge set for the width of ATVs/UTVs only as the ice is NOT at acceptable thicknesses for truck travel yet.
DO NOT TRY TO TAKE A TRUCK ACROSS THIS BRIDGE.
We chose to place the bridge at Wayside because there is a parking lot here and we would not endorse parking trucks/cars on the ice yet as the shorelines are still relatively light in relation to the rest of the lake.
The holes we drilled to set the trees around the bridge showed between 6” and 9” of ice depending on which side of the crack we were on. We have noticed an improvement in the East-West crack, it seems to be tightening up around the area where it met with the North-South crack at the creek.
We will continue to keep you updated as best we can on conditions as they change. We will post an ice report tomorrow.
