Chilly morning but hot fishing for Mike and Bob, sinking balsa from start to finish!

If anybody wants to get in on some last minute fun, Monday and Tuesday just opened up! Get ahold and let’s hit the water!

Darryl and Barry closed out 2024 on a mild winter day and some seriously super fishing. Hard to ask for much more.

Thank you to everybody who took time to come fish this year, I am very much looking forward to 2025 and it’s piscatorial challenges!

Hey Folks!

Just throwing a quick note on fishing of recent (and not so recent).

Evening kings were a funky one! A bit of traveling around, chasing kings around a couple miles from port in the driftboat…we made it work!

After way too long of way too little water it looks like we may be back in business with a reasonable flow. January and February ought to be fun! Plenty of openings if you want to hit the river for some steelhead!

Also, show season will be firing up soon for the big boat! Gramps and I are looking forward to another memorable year fishing Lake Ontario on board the Hat Trick! Grab your dates before they get snagged up!

Merry Christmas everybody, enjoy some time with the family, then let’s get fishing!

2024’s trolling season has come to an end for the Hat Trick in our great land of Ozzzzz.

It didn’t end exactly how gramps and I had hoped, but fortunately we were able to go out on a great note finding a mixed bag as our cold water rolled back into our port’s depths.

But, hot damn, 2024 sure did show us some wild salmon fishing. One for the memory banks for certain. It wasn’t all perfect, but I’ll always smile when I think of the last 5 months.

A sincere thank you to everybody who joined gramps and I on the water this year. We love making memories with all of you!

What will 2025 hold? Can’t wait to see, for now it’s to the tributary waters.

This is it folks! The last stretch. The final moments. The 5 yard line. The last hoorah. Just over a week left and the Hat Trick is coming to the finish line once again!

Was the fishing on hero mode the last month like the months before? Not nearly as often. Some days took lots of fishing to reach your catching, and damn it we fished.

Big wind this weekend and then who knows! Our finned friends are coming home, we want to help them cross a few state lines.

The Hat Trick is trucking right through salmon season in the land of Ozzzzzz! No doubt we are experiencing our transition phase into true, blue stager fishing. Some trips are more challenging than others, but I’d say we have been pretty damn spoiled this year!

Lake Ontario will forever have a piece of my heart and with that I’ve cultivated some of the best friendships a man can ask for.

There are a lot of good days, some bad days but today will always be one of the worst days. Miss you man.

Just a bunch of kids absolutely THROTTLING salmon all day long. What a crew…tough, tough, tough. The silvers shook when they jumped aboard the Hat Trick.

Easy day to love what I do.

Slug. Fest.

If fishing were any better, it would be illegal. Oswego is on fire, plain and simple. The fleet is putting a hurting on our finned friends.

The Hat Trick had July 9th afternoon (1pm-7pm) and July 10th (5am-11am) open up…get up here, we will be talking about 2024’s season for years to come.

The fishing in Oswego remains fantastic. Conditions change but the song remains the same. 170 feet below the surface to 30 feet below the surface, these silver buggers are biting.

A healthy mix of ATOMMIK Glow Stud Meat Rigs in lower light and Hat Trick Meat Rigs when the sun is high, along with spoons throughout the pattern have been clutch!

Come get ya some!

The Oswego fleet continues to beat on our silver bounty…unbelievable fishing!

ATOMMIK meat rigs are having their way with them…when the sun is high let the Hat Trick rig fly!

Cancellation, open days and update from today!

Not a fun day to flip your fins underneath the Hat Trick, and the rest of the Oswego fleet for that matter. It’s just awesome right now.

Guided Drift Boat and Lake Ontario Fishing Charters

From a young age, fishing has been an overwhelming passion of mine. Many of my most fond memories take me back to a shoreline or boat.

As I grew through the years, my love for pursuing our finned friends did as well. Eventually, I recognized this pull toward the water's edge as not only an obsession, but also my life's passion.

After my introduction to fishing on Lake Ontario and it's tributaries, namely the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY, it did not take long for this passion to shine through. A true love for this fishery developed and I was happy to call this home.

Soon after, I realized a true devotion to share my knowledge and excitement for fishing with others. I am now proud to call myself a full-time fisherman who operates year-round on the water.
