Tomorrow and Saturday (July 12 & 13) Check out South Beach Church huge garage sale and crafts event at the Newport Armory. In addition there will be a Gem & Mineral Show on Saturday so come check it all out.

Cliffside Coffee & Sweets will be there as well selling, fudge, cookies, brownies, chocolates, scones, and many gift items. We will also have the handmade quilt that Central Coast Assembly of God is raffling off as a fund raiser.

It should be an exciting weekend. We hope to see you all there.

Quilt Raffle
Central Coast Assembly of God is raffling a quilt, handmade by my mom and I as a fundraiser for the renovations of the lower level of the CCAG building. This includes new carpet and paint, creating handicap accessible restrooms, and new LED lighting.

This "Waterfall" Quilt is King size and is valued between $600-$800!
$20.00 Raffle tickets can be purchased in person at Central Coast Assembly of God or online at http://www.mychurchisccag.com.

Tickets will be sold through September 15, 2024.

It is always heartwarming to see what people write in our guest book. Here's one example:

"Thank you so much for hosting us! It was so restful and wonderful! The views are amazing and the room is so colorful and cozy. It was the perfect little getaway. It was nice to smell the coffee and sweets everyday too :-). Hoping and praying your shop and space continues to thrive.

Our favorites were walking on the beach - especially going into the punchbowl at low tide and the South Beach Fish Market. So good! We had a marvelous time and are heading home refreshed - just what we needed. Thanks for everything!

We are ramping up for this years Newport Seafood & Wine Festival!

If you haven't heard, we are bringing a few new and exciting changes this year. We've focused on bringing back more seafood and have approximately a dozen competitors for our seafood chowder competition! We also are bringing multiple musicians including Curtis Salgado, Ty Curtis, Sonny Hess, and many more. And as always, plenty of incredible wine vendors.

We worked with Rogue Ales & Spirits to create a private label to be served at the Festival where a portion of the proceed will go to a local non-profit, and this year your beer purchase will benefit the Newport Fishermen's Wives.

Public Service Announcement here

In case you are not aware the has been having some pretty big tides, also known at . A friend of mine captured this huge wave that to totally drenched here.

While this is really exciting, it is extremely dangerous. So please let me share some beach safety tips with you.

1) Beware of sneaker waves. They get their names because they sneak up on you.

2) Stay away from the edge. These sneaker waves can come up and knock you off your feet and into the ocean.

3) Stay off the logs. Only about three inches of water can lift and move one of those really big logs and can roll it right over you.

4) Keep your eye on the ocean and be ready to move.

5) View from a safe spot. Check out Oregon State Parks website for safe spots to watch. One of those listed is
