Unfortunate news for those that haven’t applied or renewed your passport this year. Starting Monday, Dec 27, US passport prices will increase: https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/us-passport-fee-increase/index.html

Industry news is predicting higher travel prices too, so I highly recommend locking in rates before end of year - advance travel planning will be key moving into 2022 to get better deals and availability.

So many people are traveling again, but there is a lot that are still hesitant - which only builds on how many people will be booking travel in 2023-2023 at the same time. As pent-up travelers are ready to go anywhere and everywhere after such a long wait, space will be harder to find the longer you wait to book.

Booking is not the same as it use to be and if you want to save money and get the room with a view you want - you must book early now to lock in those early-bird prices and snag the space before it’s gone. Remember hotels in many countries are still under occupancy restrictions, so they also have less rooms to sell.

On December 27, the fee for a US passport book will shoot up by $20 for all customers, the US State Department has announced.

Did you know?!? The travel industry experts are predicting Europe travel will TRIPLE in summer 2022!!! They recommend to start planning before this fall/winter - as space will start to get limited the closer 2022 gets.

ALSO when thinking about travel to Europe during peak season 2022, keep in mind that with the high number of tourists predicted, you can expect more crowds, longer lines and wait times at area sights/bars/restaurants.

First day back to work after a fun Colorado wedding and mini vacay with family.

I always hate catching up when you get back, don’t you?! Love how much travel planning is happening though!!! Oh I missed this. It’s been the most crazy busy few months then ever before, but loving it. Although I do plan on taking more of these mountain getaways to escape and rejuvenate.

Felt so incredible to disconnect and reconnect around me! This is my new life goal.. I’m a workaholic and my body has been telling me to enjoy life more, so going to start listening.

Hoping to enjoy a hike in Puerto Vallarta later this year🤞Best of both worlds!! 🌴⛰⛱🍹

Friyay!!! Hey all! It's Haley Davis - I have fallen off social for the last couple months and want to get back into the swing of things. After 12-14 hours during the week of nonstop travel planning and fielding enquiries - I've been exhausted at the end of the day and put social to the side to spend time with my hubby and a little me time for a couple hours before sleeping and doing it all over again. ⠀

The travel industry expected to have a surge in bookings as the vaccines rolled out, but I never thought it'd be quite this insane. I'm preparing for my own brother's wedding next weekend and looking forward to a little break celebrating with family that I haven't seen since COVID started! ALERT: The Caribbean waters have entered into the sargassum seaweed bloom season and these last few days have been more than usual - so just be prepared before you travel to one of these islands or from Cancun down to Belize to avoid disappointment. Mother Nature is at it again and it can swing from one week to the next through October-ish. There are plenty of other fun things to enjoy to avoid the seaweed so don’t let this affect your vacay time!!

"If you are confused and frustrated, then you are following the situation," Tom Jenkins, CEO of the European Tourism Association, said of the region's border rules. 😆 Love his quote! At least we are all in the same boat and still waiting on clear details for travel to these countries. Keep patiently waiting - there are still a lot of pieces to put in place. Stay tuned!

Do you have a favorite Polynesian dish?! Continuing with the Pacific Islander heritage month… another favorite of mine of the islands is the Polynesian culture with traditions and food!! Such passion for their indigenous ways and keeping these expressions alive. The care they take in preparing the meals makes all the difference in the flavors. How I dream about the fresh coconut and seafood among many other favorites! 🌴🥰🍹

Today is the first day of Pacific Islanders Heritage month... and I’m so in love with Polynesian culture that I’ll post some of my highlights between my Tahiti, Marquesas and Fiji islands trips throughout the month to honor my love and gratitude of their lives! 🌴❤️

One of the reasons I love their culture, is their infectious spirit and passion for song and music! Being there changed me and I’ll forever return to keeping meeting new friends and seeing more beautiful sights! 🥰

Europe anyone?! It’s coming!!! 🤞Two things to keep in mind...

1. Von der Leyen gave no timeline for when the bloc will open to American travelers, nor how proof of vaccination will be required.

2. Even when borders re-open, you still must follow each countries protocols - and understand that many attractions may still be closed, have restricted hours and occupancy limits, etc..

After a year of travel restrictions, the bloc is set to reopen to Americans, according to a E.U. Leader.

ALERT: Passport offices across the country are getting backlogged--RENEW OR APPLY NOW! With travel sales surging, that means more passports requests which are getting backlogged. If you are thinking about traveling in the next year internationally--make sure to get the passport renewal process started NOW to avoid delay and added stress, disappointment and loss of money if you can't get your passport in time. ✈️

Europe Status Update: "While the success of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout in the U.S. has fueled optimism about a strong summer travel rebound, tourism officials in Europe say that slower progress on vaccines there coupled with new surges likely means any widespread return of Americans won't happen until late summer."

Speculation is hoped for August or September reopening around the European Union. Stay tuned as we continue to receive updates... Keep your fingers crossed!

There are a few countries ready for tourists now though, with specific restrictions, but no longer required to quarantine upon arrival... Iceland, Croatia & Turkey. However, it's still recommended to hold off on Europe until there are less hoops you have to go through for travel. AND there are still local requirements to follow that may impact some experiences.

Hawaii is gearing up for a new phase in its tourism reopening as officials announced partnerships with a trio of companies working to develop a vaccine passport, which they hope to unveil by summer to ease entry into the Aloha State. Stay tuned and keep fingers crossed the summer date stays true!!

Great news announcement today!! Fully vaccinated people can travel again, says new CDC guidance! ✈️

The new guidance says:

- Fully vaccinated people can travel within the U.S., without getting tested for the coronavirus or quarantining. People should still wear a mask, socially distance and avoid crowds, the agency says.

- For international travel, the agency says vaccinated people do not need to get a Covid-19 test before leaving, though some destinations may require it.

- Vaccinated people should still get a negative Covid-19 test before boarding a flight to the U.S., and be tested 3 to 5 days after returning. They do not need to quarantine. The agency noted the potential introduction of virus variants and differences in vaccine coverage around the world for the cautious guidance on overseas travel.

**REMINDER: A vaccine is not a cure or means to 100% immune, you can still get sick, vaccines prevent severe symptoms, but you can still catch it - just like you can still get the flu even with the flu shot - you're just less sick.
