Stoked to be hosting Ascension: Skateboard Art Exhibit by local students and Do Rad Things founder Mark Rivard. Join us tonight for a first glimpse at the Experience Tioga Visitor Center, Tioga Arts Council and Owego Home, all in Front Street in Owego. While you're out and about there's plenty to do for First Friday! Check out live music at The Belva Lockwood Inn, Owego Originals and the John Barleycorn. Congratulations to 1040 Taylor Drive, Owego, NY for receiving the most first place votes in the 2024 Light Up Tioga Driving Tour Contest! We would also like to mention Lights on Hullsville in Owego, 25 Bambi Lane in Candor, Maryvale Drive in Apalachin, and 15 Knauf Road in Owego, for receiving quite a few votes as well! The winner received a $100 gift certificate to any Tioga County business. This year's winners have chosen MJ's Bar and Restaurant, Owego, NY, an American Restaurant serving multi-cultural dishes and craft cocktails . Thank you to all who participated and everyone who took the tour and voted!

Don’t Trash It, Smash It! 🎃 Tomorrow is the day!!!!
Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County, Team Tioga , Tioga County Farm Bureau, and Experience Tioga at Hilltop Community Farm on Saturday, November 9 from 11am – 2pm for our county's first pumpkin smash event!
A Pumpkin Smash is an effort to divert pumpkins from landfills by hosting an event to smash pumpkins after Halloween! This will also be a location for residents to drop-off jack-o-lanterns or whole pumpkins to be composted or donated to livestock. Don’t have a pumpkin to smash? Come to the Pumpkin Smash and smash one of the pumpkins supplied.
We will have pumpkin smashing, other games, and light refreshments at this FREE fun fall family event!
🎃 Please remove all candles and decorations prior to arrival
🎃 Bring your own bucket or container if you would like to take home some of the smashed pumpkins to compost in your backyard
🎃 Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
🎃 Please do not bring your own smashing implements - they will be provided for you (along with PPE!)
🎃 This event will be located in the indoor riding arena, so it will be held rain or shine!
🎃 If you would like to donate a pumpkin for someone else to smash, drop-offs will be accepted between 10-11am on November 9th
🎃 Please leave all family pets at home for the safety of our special guest, Angus!

It's another packed weekend in Tioga County, NY! Experience the innovative music of world renowned violinist Andrea Di Cesare at Owego Original's Bar and Lounge, get spooky at Owego's Halloween Fest and take a Susquehanna River tour and admire the leaves hosted by Waterman Conservation Education Center. While you stroll, stop into the Experience Tioga Visitor Center on Front Street to enjoy the nostalgia of the 60's and 70's with Rock 'N' Roll memorabilia and a vintage jukebox.
