🎉 Celebrating freedom and history at the 33rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Oxnard! In @DowntownOxnard with the celebration of the @juneteenth_oxnard this past Saturday June 15th! We were honored to have the Buffalo Soldier Mounted Cavalry Unit and the Women of the West with their incredible exhibit, taking us back in time with their rich storytelling and historical facts. According to a historic survey prepared for the City of Oxnard, Chinese immigrant Hall Soo Hoo came to Oxnard in 1917 at the age of 14 and opened the Golden Chicken Inn in 1929.
