The dining room area at my Sea to Shining Sea project is an open space for family and friends to gather. For a meal, for cocktails, for a game, or family time there is plenty of space for all. It is also a space that came together thanks to help of family and the best of friends! A huge thank you to: the amazing friends who helped unwrap chairs and accessories & to my awesome husband who helped unwrap and install the dining table and even installed the chandelier. To fully immerse yourself in a space, sometimes you have to climb right in! I captured this view of the bunk room in my Sea to Shining Sea project by lying down in the bottom of one of the bunks. I never had a bunk bed so these are some things I learned – it’s a pretty cozy reading nook, the bottom bunk is way easier to make than the top, without much effort bottom bunks make excellent forts, and no matter where I am, I always seem to find a way to bang my head!! ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The open living room in my Sea to Shining Sea project is all about balance - balance of individual styles ( version of a clean lined “Rustic Pacific NW” style meets “Ivy League Equestrian Chic”) and balance of function. The room needed to be a place where family and friends could gather and also a space where one could curl up on the sofa with a good book or movie. We discussed a few layout options for the living room but ultimately decided to place these 2 gorgeous tight back sofas facing each other to have enough space to encourage both game nights and lazy afternoon naps. Perfect layout for all to enjoy this home away from home!⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My Sea to Shining Sea project in Seabrook, WA would not be complete without a bunk room! Perfect for the kids and plenty of extra space for additional guests, last minute sleepovers or fort building. I love this glimpse of the room from the hall...pops of navy blue here and there captures your attention and the bold Aztec pattern draws you in. Check out Meredith Green Designs. She has such an incredible talent for being able to manifest in design the aesthetic we love but couldn’t articulate ourselves! She did all the design for the house. This is a room in Sea to Shining Sea.

Unsure of what your interior style is? Feel that your significant other’s style is way too different than yours? Why not mix them together?! To help clients find “their style” I give them some designer homework which consists of a series of questions. Based on their answers I come up with a style type that is completely unique for them. For the guest rooms at this Seabrook, Washington vacation home, I combined the styles of this amazing husband and wife team – a clean lined “Rustic Pacific NW” style with “Ivy League Equestrian Chic” and a hint of Meredith Green Designs’ “CA Vintage”. ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
