Can you find the glass float?
After years of searching with no success, on the last day of 2023, our own mermaids finally discovered a glass float hidden by Seabrook peaking out from under some fallen leaves!
2024 is just a few days away… here is a Destination to explore each month:
January — Kick off the new year by rediscovering local parks. Head to the trails at Lake Sylvia State Park or take in the views at Friends Landing.
February — Dodge the rain and wander through the towering trees of the Quinault Rainforest Trail.
March — Head to the North Beach and walk Copalis Beach.
April — It’s the perfect time to explore the waterfalls of the region.
May — Enjoy the trails at Bowerman Basin while taking in the Shorebird Festival at the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge
June — When the warm weather starts returning in June, go to Buck’s NorthWest to learn to skimboard, go on a hike, and rent a bike for the trails.
July — Take a kayak adventure along the lower Chehalis River
August — Climb Colonel Bob Peak for a breathtaking view from above Lake Quinault of nearly the entire Olympic Peninsula.
September — Enjoy the smaller crowds while you wander the path around Wynoochee Lake.
October — Whether you drive the loop or take hikes, the Quinault region is perfect in the autumn.
November — Go see the salmon in the rivers. Whether you fish for the salmon or just go and watch, this experience is memorable and amazing.
December — Go storm-watching along the coast. There is nothing quite like seeing the power of nature next to the mighty Pacific Ocean.
