DEEPEST HOT SPRINGS IN THE WORLD!

The Pagosa geothermal hot springs are located on the western slope of the Continental Divide. The sulfur-rich water emerging from what is called the "Mother Spring" has been measured between 110 °F (43 °C) and 144 °F (62 °C). The water originates from 6,000 feet below the surface from volcanic activity.

Revered by the Indians, the Pagosa (a Ute word meaning 'healing' or 'boiling water') hot springs were frequented by many of the tribes. In 1848, Mexico ceded the area to the United States. The U.S. Government then established relations with the Indians and through a series of Treaties "bought" most of their land.

The outdoor opportunities in Colorado are endless! It’s my favorite state in the entire country.

We grew up in Oklahoma and while we love where we come from Oklahoma was just tough sometimes. Windy, hot, cold, windy, bugs, ticks 😵‍💫 poisonous weeds, windy, pokey weeds, it was hard to stay motivated in the outdoors in the summer. This is my opinion of course….. and I’m thankful we all look at life differently or what a boring place it would be.

Pagosa Springs is absolutely everything I ever wanted growing up. It’s Sunday morning and the choices today are 🤔 Soak in the deepest hot springs in the world, go fishing, go rafting, hit some trails and hike, take a drive through the mountains, go take photos of wildlife, go eat at one of our favorite restaurants in town, go for a bike ride. I could go on & on. Nothing better than having outdoor options 7 days a week to relax and enjoy the great outdoors and amazing Colorado weather ✌🏻
