We got to fly a Peruvian Flute player today. It was pretty great to hear flutes at 1,000 feet AGL. He asked if there would be a 3-4 minute time when I wasn’t burning, I said no but I can give you a minute or so.

Denise started ballooning with us 3 years ago and officially joined our team two seasons ago ago. She is our “air” cruise director. She ensures all guests are checked in, makes sure they know which balloons they are assigned to, prepares our post flight celebration and helps crew along the way! Behind the scenes she also makes sure we have all the neeed inventory and supplies to make each flight successful.

When Denise isn’t being our cruise director she will often travel to balloon rallies with us. She has flown with our pilot Marissa at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and most recently the Telluride Balloon Fiesta.

Todays crew appreciation goes to Jaiden Martinez.

Jaiden joined Pagosa Adventure the day we opened. He has helped build the business. He is exceptional balloon crew and great rafting crew! When we transition to tubing he also helps run the tube shop!.

We want to thank Jaiden for jumping in whenever needed. Especially when other crew members are unavailable, Jaiden picks up the slack!

Jaiden is a third generation balloon fanatic. His grandma started flying before his mom was born! (Who is one of our pilots). Jaiden just finished high school with goals to become an airplane pilot and a commercial hot air balloon pilot! Let’s all take a moment to wish him the best of luck in what his future brings!

Shelby started ballooning with us 3 seasons ago and became our full time photographer two seasons ago. She snaps photos of people having their best day, whether it is in the sky or on the river!

In April she and our other crew member were married. Let’s take a moment to congratulate them!

For our second day of crew appreciation we are proud to nominate Jeremy the raft guide.

Jeremy joined us three seasons ago. He has spent a significant amount of time on The Grand Canyon and is a true Pagosa local. Born and raised. He always has a joke handy, one of his favorites is his car!

He began his crewing carreers in 2021 with us (this will be his third season) and he has moved up to Crew Chief for Hermosa Pagosa! He also helps with administrative tasks which is such a relief.
This year he has decided to pursue his pilot's certificate! And spends his time diligently studying.
He often crews before going to work at the local Optometrist office.
He recently was married to Shelby, our photographer. (Let's all congratulate the newlyweds!)
