Got the last of the panels up! That makes a total of 2,200 watts of solar for the 1,000 ah battery. So far, it’s been more than enough. The batteries are usually on float by noon each day - assuming we get good morning sun. The panels are equally split between the front and back of the cabin so we should get great power throughout the day.

Have you ever had one of “those” days. Well, that was yesterday. Nothing went right. If I needed 8awg wire, i had 10awg. If i needed a 1/2” piece of PVC, i only had 3/4”. Was just one of those days. And with no one here but me to commiserate with, it grts frustrating. But, i did get the panels wired with MC4 connectors and used z-plates to secure the panels to the roof..my myself, which I’m not a big fan of (heights arent my thing!!). All in all, its getting so close. Mostly cleanup, organizing and prepping for colder temps (and renters this winter!) which are on the way. Couple more days and this one’s ready to go!

Got the replacement pieces needed (Thanks, Hardware) after going to 8 other specialty stores. No luck. Took me a majority of the day, but ite hooked up, tested for leaks and proper voltage, and is currently running through its first incineration cycle.

Smoke from a prescribed burn outside of making it look a lot more today than usual. Slowed progress on the due to a brass fitting breaking. To town we will go tomorrow!

Lots done today! Mostly the and getting the installed and operating, which I’m close to completely having done. Just have to finish the chimney stack. Second, I ended up having to remove the tub/shower in order to put the toilet in the correct wall for the best draft/venting. After moving the sink and mirror, I added the remaining tongue and groove, which just needs a coat of polyurethane, then it’s ready to go! Last, I refinished the floors in the bathroom, too. Had to plane them down, sand them to be even, then applied some of the floor polyurethane. All in all, it really came@out better than expected!!
