This is happening just a few miles above and west of my home. The sky is a gorgeous pink at night, and though absolutely gorgeous to behold, it means that this spectacular show may happen a little closer to my home than I'd like; and yet, I am still so dazzled by this amazing natural beauty. My favorite part of living here is that the earth is alive and vibrant. Despite the stress of having to keep all of my belongings in my car, ( just in case I have no time to evacuate) it's all totally worth it. I wouldn't dream of being anywhere else but on this magical island of Hawaii. Despite it all, it's a tremendous blessing to be here in the land of the living volcanoes. And most importantly, this has truly brought out the very best in us. It's amazing to see how this is bringing us closer as a community. So many people are opening their hearts, their homes, donating their time, and giving to those in need. Once again, I am truly blessed to call this place home, and in the future when it's safe; I'd love to share this beauty with you all.

We had an amazing and fun adventure chasing golden rivers of lava flowing down the Pali. It was a long tough trek, but oh! so worth every ounce of sweat.

It was an amazing experience to get to see lava so close.
