Since the eruption in 2018, this has been a loop for me.
Nothing is permanent.
Endless hellos and good byes. In the end it is the love that remains, timeless and limitless.

Aloha’s essence is the first whiff of air you take when you get off the plane in the islands.
Flowers dancing in the air, coco plans swaying in the breeze and grounded by an earthy and exotic teak.

In the islands when parting ways these words would roll off the lips and hang in the air like the sweet ring of a bell.

We never know when we will say our last “good-bye”.

If we kept this in mind with each and every parting of ways…
Would the hug last a little longer and a bit tighter?
Would all that the heart feels be said?
Would that moment be treasured with reverence?

Felt the engine come alive and the propeller began to spin.

Taxied out and waited between the Big Birds that were landing and taking off.

Swung out onto the runway and boogied up into the air.

Soared over so much of our history: the Coronados, Newport Harbor High, Back Bay, Balboa Island, PCH, the Peninsula, Fashion Island…

It was so peaceful soaring above and beyond the hustle.

My last day in Cambridge~ Oxford was a tough act to follow. I think I was a bit road weary at this point.

My final hours there were spent in absolute awe and wonder. Total redemption of Cambridge.
