This shade was missing the top section and i just so happened to have a broken shade with a similar section i could use. I also had a base in the basement. It is one of those you fix it and we will split it deals i have stopped doing but we shall see if it was worth all the effort ?

A customer gave me this some time ago . Missing a section in the middle and the lower half all broken between the amber round sections. I decided to cut the whole thing down and make the join behind the steel support ,which worked out rather well . I cut some glass for the middle and decided to paint a frog on the glass to resemble enameled. I managed to break a panel that is still glueing ,now with blue tape on it you might see in the picture. Despite the setback i think its rather handsome now.

The last few repairs on this early 19th century piano. It should have been finished along time ago and gone . I am not sure why mostly my fault but it has really been in my way for a year . As lovely as it is a i am so glad its leaving. However the space it occupied is now full of packing materials i got for free to pack the piano. I took it all it will be good for ebay packing, you cant beat free although its rather sad all that stuff just usually goes to the landfill.

I did these last year , repairs rust removed and repainted . The oriental horse tie figure i reserched the clothes to get the colors and boots right . He did however have a droopy mustache that looked wonderful but they didnt like that . They have been sitting in my yard for eight months and they are worth quite a bit so im glad there gone . Although in truth i wouldnt have minded keeping the oriental guy.

Some in home repairs today including this stunning ebony brass inlay cabinet. In truth it should have been repaired quite some time ago but i didnt relish the job . Straighting the mangled brass inlay lines by pulling through a tightend wood clamp. Surprised I can leave. This did actually length them the pieces and I had to cut them down a little bit. I can’t say I enjoy working on my hands and knees like a plumber much these days, but the whole job wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be.
The key to fixing this is to clean old glue and sand the metal before reapplying it.
